ive always had cats, never had a dog. cats are there own person so sometimes you get ones you really get along with and sometimes you dont. poots is like my partner in crime when im at home.

my cat talks alot, i can be sitting there and just strike up a full blown conversation with her. she puts expression into it to. sometimes i swear she fuckin gets it.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I love dogs but it's just a different kind of relationship. Dogs are almost too empathetic at times...they're always completely dependent on you and hang on to everything you do. Cats can handle you having an off day. They're bound to just say fuck it and go nap in a laundry hamper.

spark and flash are brother and sister, and they are 1 year and 1 week old. they couldnt be more different from one another... actually, they both had a big adventure tonight: two huge friendly cats from about 8 or 10 doors down came by to hang around the front yard, peeking in the windows, meowing on the porch, and generally showing their interest in our two little house cats. great fun. then one of the big cats got stuck on our neighbour's roof, and there was all kind of drama trying to rescue this poor little meowling cat in minus 10 weather...

here you can see her taking shelter in my bag.
my friend found 2 kittens in a gutter once, tossed by some fuckface who didn't want them - they were just about a week old.
so they took them in, and they grew up. and made their own little kittens.
we all hope that the parents aren't brother and sister.

there are so many sweet kittens, kitties, and cats here... i wish my guys were still this size... lately they are on a big "im my own cat and ill do what i want to" trip, and they never want to cuddle or anything. right now they are hiding under the bed, i think the visit from the neighbour cats has got them spookled...

I have two, Sammy and Goldeneye
sammy's a really big REALLY furry black cat who loves to go outside
theres this window in my washroom that looks out onto my porch and he always chills on its sill outside and alot of the time he scratches like mad at the window just to play, then i put my hand up to it and he slides his head all over the window, hes fucking epic.
then theres goldeneye who is so orange to the point of gold, she used to live with some faggot family who would pull her around by her tail and freak her out, fucking assholes, so she sketches about her tail, but i swear to god she understand me when i talk to her..

Anyways, I have two cats, Fleki and Milli (I named them when I was 4). Sad thing, I moved to another country and since they are quite old (16 - they´re sisters), they stayed at my moms place. I miss them alot sometimes. It´s funny how they are sisters, twins even, and as different as it gets. Milli is more the dog-cat. You can do whatever you want with her, even try to make her mad and stuff, she enjoys everything. She loves you no matter what and is content with whatever attention you give her. She is a little bit stupid. But cute. Fleki on the other hand has a lot of personality. She doesn´t like it when strangers stroke her, she bites and scratches them. And if I stroke her to long, she also bites me or freaks out completely. She needs her alone time and space. I love my cats a lot. DAMN, NOW I MISS THEM!
Oh and Fleki looks pretty badass, She is black in the face with an orange spot over one eye, she looks very pirate-ish like that. (Fleck in german = Spot/Stain).
When I go back home next time, I´ll take pictures.

nope, they are euhm.. like 2 years now, the left one had babies and never came back after she gave birth. the right one is a male one and likes to sit between the pictures on the cupboard. the ones of this fall, i ll take pics of later. it's a striped one (light colors) and the other one is white with grey ears, face, legs and tail

Yeah, man. When we first got him, I was flippin' shit cause I'd never seen a cat with those colors/markings, now all the sudden they're EVERYWHERE, and the differences are sooo subtle, like on my kitty, his front left pinky toe is black.
It's like all the sudden tabby's and siamese(sp?) started knockin' boots like fuckin crazy.

It ran away and we found it at the Humane Society a week later. The day we found it was the day its new family was coming to get it. We proved it was our cat and they offered us to give it back if we paid the vet bill before the new family came to pick it up. So long story short, we had a couple of hours to come up with 500 for everything. We couldn't come up with it and they gave the cat away to the other family for the small adoption fee. To salt the wound, they told us that they changed the name of the cat to Chester. Quite possibly the gayest name for a cat ever.

i just got a cat. he wandered into my friends apartment during a party so i took him home. he's pretty cool. his sleep schedule is really fucked. like sleep all day then right before i go to bed he goes insane. he makes these weird raptor noises and that's how you know he's about to lose it, i think it was his time on the streets that drove him nuts. he only sleeps for like 3 hours a nights and when i wake up he's usually staring at me and doing his raptor noise. as soon as my eyes open he bites me on the arm and then leaves. what an asshole. no name yet. we call him cat, crazy, or big le-meow-ski.

theres a pair of sweet cats who live like 15 doors down from us -- "vincent" and "poof" -- and they come visit sometimes to smoke on the porch with my girl and look in the windows at flash and spark. super nice cats, and they love roaming around. so tongiht i went for a little walk tonight and found this sweet kitties sitting in front of a store on bloor street, which is a really, really busy toronto street. why he was ther ei have no idea, but i picked him up and carried him all the way home. he didnt squirm once until i got im to the steps of his house. id hate for anything to happen to him...

My girl and i just got a new place and a it came equipt with a stray cat that always comes and chills with me when i lay in my hammock and smoke cigaretts. Then we saved a 4 year old from the shelter that won some awards for being so pretty. Personally i think its th biggest asshole cat i ever met. So we now have an indoor, and outdoor cat.

so "cinder" the little visitor kitten has become a permanent fixture. after a few weeks flash and spark have warmed up to her... they are having a second kitten-hood playing with her... tho spark will give her a big hiss sometimes if shes not in the mood for capering and wrastling.
shes hilarious, but she stays in her own room at night. not only does she have too much energy, but the last bit of her rectum kind of sticks out of her body, meaning she can leave little brown "stamp marks" now and then. but the vet says the problem can get fixed the same time she gets "fixed," and for not a lot of money thankfully...

Remember to keep doors open so she can get to her litter box. If can't get to it and pees on something, you won't get get to stop. We closed our bedroom door on accident one night and our first cat peed on the bed sheets. I washed them a million times and she just kept doing it until I threw everything out and bought new ones. Even if you can't smell the pee, they can.

I owned an older cat when i got a kitten, to make them comfortable to eachother we clised if the house in 2 sections for a bit and and then switch em around so they'd get used to eachitgers smell. I Felt bad for the little one and sleppt on the couch with it, it was tiny, not bigger then a fist, and when i slept on my back she d sleep on my shoulder. She was the funniest cat ever, d do backflips and chase the records in circles. I lost all interests in funny cat videos cause my own cat was the funniest When me and my ex broke up the cats both stayed with her.
Now i got another one and hes the best, loves any attention you give him and follows me around the block. Sometimes i think he is asking for food but all he wants is to be petted for a bit, he drools His names Arthur

These are my sisters cats, but she moved to a building that doesnt allow pets, so they stay with me. Izzy (orange) and Rocco (brother and sister). Dont care for the names too much tbh, reminds me of iggy azalea and i went to school with a douche named Rocko. She is a spaz, talks A LOT, and is afraid of everything. He is lazy, relaxed, and loves everyone and everything. He wants to be outside all the time. We do let them go out (she only lasts 5 min), and they are great about staying close by.

i really want to adopt a cat but both of my upstairs roommates have dogs that are not cat friendly. They haven't noticed when the girl i'm seeing brings her cat over when she's staying for long periods of time but i'd be worried if the dogs followed my roommates down to do laundry.

Sorry should've been specific it's a Bengal, siberian ragdoll mix not pure Bengal. It's got the spots on the belly and I thought the same as you about tabby so I asked the vet apparently the Bengal spots continue on the belly but tabby they stop and black gums or something I dunno. That's a cute ass cat I've been mirin you share here and there I actually bought a hooded litter box cause of a post of yours recently with a Shalom sticker I think and she looked very pleased with her litter box. You got her best side too in those photos

Always been a dog person, never had cats growing up. My daughter wanted a cat a few years back so I got her one. This is him. Hes not affectionate at all, Hes actually kind of a dick and will start scratching you out of nowhere when youre trying to love on him. Still love him :)

My friend's roommate's cat had kittens when I was like 20. I took one home when they were old enough to be separated. I still lived with my mom, and she was like "you better get him neutered and declawed if you are going to live here!"
Anyhoo, I moved out. Cat still has his claws, I still have the cat, and my mom and I now have a decent relationship. (She also loves the cat now.)
I did get him neutered, though. Bob Barker.

I'm an outdoor cat". He'll gladly let you pet him, sit in your lap, and pick him up. He's also smaller than most adult cats I've ever seen and is by far the cutest orange cat I've ever seen. I love him.

I was never into cats at all, but 4 years ago a small litter of feral cats started hanging around my apartment building. It started off innocently enough just giving them names and feeding them a can of tuna here and there. After a few months more cats showed up, then one set up shop and had babies on my porch, and then I was feeding them every morning and night, and before I knew it the total population of regulars had grown to almost 20 feral cats. So my girlfriend and I decided to get TNR (Trap, Neuter, and Release) certified to help control the population. We ended up trapping almost every cat, getting them neutered at the Humane Society where they were also given important health shots like the rabies vaccine, then brought them back to our building to continue living their lives as they had before. We have now taken in several of them as pets and gotten many of the others adopted.

I had 8 cats growing up but was never a huge fan of them, always more of a dog person. Then I let a friend of mine move in who had a dog and a indoor/outdoor cat. When he left he didnt bother taking the cat so I adopted her. She can be a bit much at times and she pisses herself when she falls asleep but I kinda like having her around. He fed her dog food for 6+ years so now she gets the best cat food I can afford along with 1+ oz of wet food since apparently you shouldn’t feed cats strictly dry food.

When I was in my last college house we found her hanging out in our yard for awhile. Finding cats hanging around our town is fairly normal, but she was spayed, declawed and very docile, unlike most of the other cats we encountered. We brought her in and tried to find her owner to no avail. Shitty thing about college towns is that it's not uncommon for cats to get straight up abandoned, so five years later we're still pals. <3

Again declawed, dude I'm glad you took her in and she has a forever home. Why people declaw cats is beyond me, makes me furious thinking about it, let alone abandoning a cat that you paid to mutilated.

Yeah, I found out sorta late in life how cats are actually declawed and it definitely mortified me. It's crazy how common it is given how fucked of a procedure it actually is. Like I said, the fact that she didn't have front claws is a big reason why I brought her inside in the first place, cuz she clearly didn't belong outside on her own.

Looks like a great cat. I got a half Himalayan half Siamese cat and she's super smart but bossy. Heard straight Siamese cats are real brainy cats.

Hi Childhood, I use a 'Rogz' leash and collar for my cat when we are outside, we live on a really busy road and he is an incredibly stupid cat. He knocked himself out twice trying to jump a fence before he even turned 1.

I had 5 cats at once with a like way too many of other Abandoned or Abused animals at the same time.
From a Red Nose Pitbulls who was named after Racist character from an old Australian movie. We came up with "Rondo" that was his new name. Pissed that Nazi off. Fuck that guy I Took your fucking dog suckah. Now they are trained and with punks too. Fuck Romperstomper and fuck you too.
...to a Chilean Rose Tarantula and oh Man that sucked. I'm scared to death of spiders. Gotta rock eye protection with "Boris" she was a good spider though. It took like 9 years to find a house for that spider. They can live to be like 25 I think. That's a fucking commitment.
I heard they're all over LA now. People just give up and let them go be a spider. Not possible in Massachusetts. I give a fuck about all living beings. I'm not condemning a spider who should not be a pet to death because I'm frightened of it.
