i really liked it, actually
i like a bit of tastless humor once in awhile
thoughts?

opinions
-
Better or worse than the first?
-
ah, make your own decisions.
i really liked how they still referenced a lot to the older one, not like jay & silent bob strike back, where they reference every kevin smith movie ever made.
and jason lee did have an appearance.
it was just cool to see a 10 year time period between, kind of different
-
Word. Ill probably check it out sometime this weekend.
-
that dante dude in the first one was the worst actor ever....'THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING??!' I hated that guy...
-
it was pretty funny.
-
I sat through the first one and I can tell you now I'd never see number two. you've got to be a real fag to enjoy listening to those bitches bitch constantly about the most insignificant shit. it's seinfeld for college students.

Isn't sienfeild just woody allen for mass consumption. I like observational comedy if it's done right.

Was well shit - talk about how to ruin your reputation, what the fuck was he thinking when he made that - no fucking Jay or Slient Bob (basically the only reason to watch them)
Some of it's pretty funny, Clercks was good the first time i watched that, i haven't see Clercks 2 but watched the trailer, bar Jersey Girl everything else was pretty good, well Dogma. . . .
Matt Damon. . .
Actually i'm going to stop now
-
youre fucking kidding right?
clerks 2 was the worst piece of shit for an almost infinite amount of reasons.
it wasnt funny. there was like 5 maybe brief moments of humour, all coming from jay. but even that dude looked pretty heavy on the skag while filming. still a funny guy though.
'the one ring to rule them all' kid, the male version of selma blair, fucking awful. at least find nobodies that are talented actors or use your hollywood clout to get someone that can do more than rolling their eyes.
jesus, i could rant forever.
in summation, look at the end of the movie..
queue the alanis morrisette 'you mean everything', fade to black and white (oh shit! a nod to teh first one! reaaaal fucking clever/heartwarming) and then the last lline :
"THIS IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF OUR LIVES'.
if that doesnt translate out to you that the entire movie was completely cheesy bullshit, i dont know what will..
absolutely useless jason lee cameo - 5 minutes
even more useless ben affleck cameo - 5 seconds
maybe its all just a big ironic existential project, cause if clerks 2 was for rental in the video store in clerks 1, they would have ripped the shit out of its corny ass. and its their future existence.. etc.
ill go with the hitchcock interpretation.
-
haha I liked it, I thought it was funny. I think you were just expecting too much....

can you tell me what you think are some funny movies out of curiosity
-
Haven't seen Clerks 2... but I've been watching the original recently and was let down after what I had heard about it. Maybe I had my expectations too high. Bad acting is one problem.
Kevin Smith's "outrage" over Gene Shalt's reaction to Clerks 2 is funny though. If Smith can push the envelope on offensive filmmaking, why does he have such a problem with Shalt pushing the envelope on offensive film criticism.
-
I loved mallrats when I was younger. Saw it recently, not into it as much. Maybe its just an age thing.
-
i havnt seen this but the jay and silent bob movies are not funny at all
-
i dont understand why they had to have all the serious shit in it. they didnt try for a plot in the slightest way, except in the love triangle thing between dante and the two bitches. jay and bob have thousands of dollars for no reason? and they give it away? if that fast food chain was operating like that for one day it would be shut down, no way there was any profit made. i really wasnt bothered by these things at all, i didnt go to get a full understanding of all the little things. if your going to have stupid shit that doesnt make sense, dont try and put any feeling or chick flick garbage in the middle of it. just cut out all that gay slow introspective talking bullshit. pretty much any scene that had dante and rosario dawson was a horrible trainwreck, actually almost all the dialogue was shit. everytime theres a conversation things are explained so fully, they give reasoning for questions that were never asked, always bringing up things that happened in the past 10 years. i thought the funny parts outweighed the terrible, so it was still worth the money. frustratingly inconsistent though.

Ooh cake!

-

Jay and Silent Bob presumably have a shit load of money left over from the checks they got from the bluntman and chronic movie they tried to stop in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Smith always brings up stuff from his previous movies, thats why they kept talking about old stuff. Overall, I thought the movie was pretty good. It definately had a hollywood ending, but I liked it alot.
-
It was alright, but then again the people in the audience lughing behind me reminded me a lot of the characters in the movie which made it funnier.
-
drama class drop outs....
-
the only funny part was when the nerdly jones character was bopping his bologna and crying.
-
it fucking sucked
the only glimmer of unpretentious and actually well acted comedy was when randall wasnt aware that shiemi curse was racist
please, if you liked this pile of shite, please explain why
-
that girl on cuddlemonsters picture thing is nice and thick i bet
-
i would never touch rosario dawson's stank ass feet. ever. let alone paint them like a pansy.
-
so is anyone gonna tell me who that girl is?

yah really what the fuck was that? and that dance sequence was so bad.
-
the only thing that i didnt like about clerks two was how they did they whole title thing once. " the new and improved jay and silent bob" i was expecting other ones to pop up but nope. im not going to say that the writing was spectacular, but if you can loose your elitist attitude for like two hours than im sure youll laugh.

so basically you should watch it at home by yourself, stoned.

I was hoping they would do the titles aswell.

it was pretty funny, saw a pirated version on my friend's tv, rosario dawson is dope so whoever thought otherwise just is stoops, i dont remember too much aside from the ann frank references, and that jason lee cameo which was lame. it was funny for the first hour...."yo dude chill, its our first customer since our triumphant return..."
-
Why was the Jason Lee cameo lame? He's been in just about all of the other Kevin Smith films.
