Title: Skateboarding in La Habana, Cuba!
Post by: amorfati on July 24, 2006, 07:01:01 PM
"Skateboarding in Cuba is no walk in the park, although there are plenty of the latter in Cuba. Skating in Cuba is somewhat of a mystery to many outside the island and understood by few, however its importance in understanding how life is in Cuba is dynamic. As you may already know, life in Cuba is also not the easiest of situations. In fact, “la lucha” or “the struggle” is often referenced when describing day-to-day life. Therefore, making attempts at skateboarding a lot more difficult than the average joe/joesie might encounter in other worldly locations, like the US."

the entire article can be read here: <a href="http://loveyourdestiny.blogspot.com/2006/07/skate-or-die-skateboarding-in-habana.html">Skate or Die! Skateboarding in Habana, Cuba</a>

A little less than a year ago I went to Cuba and did some skating. After sometime, the article is finally finished and free to read online on a power blog, laugh it up, it also includes some pictures. I'd be glad to answer any questions, or hear what you thought of the article... thanks.

When y brother went to cuba he saw a skatepark. No one was skating it. I'd think the biggest problem would be getting boards, unless they were homade.
