just watched some little stereo news video, sparked me to start this. one of the smoothest and most original styles, lots of innovation, fast and loose! always wished he got more recognition. i don't want to be all back in the day, but matt's been killing it for so long. respect!

Matt is tight! hella cool and its always nice to see him skating the B in Sac and with Matt Pailes working there its even better seeing them skate! always a good time..

huge fan, had his wall ride, power slide as an avatar and his tail slide line at easy 7. i actually tried that tails slide a few times, so hard to roll up on it right.

i always thought it was rad how in the first stereo video he's fakie 5-0 guy...then in tin can...he's the hurricane guy...pretty much the same trick... just a bit more stoned...

Dude is sick. Always looks good, always does some crazy shit where its clear he is on his own trip. Really good too, not like Richie Jackson on his own trip, like shit other pros would do if they could think of it or had the skill to do it own trip

as for natas, for sure, he did them great and looooong, but i think rodriguez did the most with them.

I love how this dude defies the hippy stereotype and skates fast as fuck. Didn't he used to skate with Cardiel a bunch? That would be a hell of a session to watch go down. I think if I saw that I'd never wash my eyes again.

I've seen matt tons of times at the Hanger in Sac, but I've never actually seen him skate - he's always just chilling. One of these days I'll actually get to see him rip... his stereo parts are some of my faves...

i like how lee and pastras make fun of his music in the tincan folklore commentary, they pretty laugh uncontrollably through most of the part.
in that last clip whitely posted you can hear his trucks jingling like keys, shit is craze.

Rodriguez definitely deserves a lot more love in the industry, hell he even deserves a lot more money *hard glances at I-path*
Was doing "hard way" tricks waay before it became trendy, always skated ditches/ tight tranny etc., was pretty much the only guy out there riding a square nose etc. etc.
