Title: Parts that wouldn't have fit in the videos they were supposed to be in
Post by: heckler on July 07, 2010, 08:15:52 PM
Can anyone think of guys who were slated to have parts in videos or riding for companies who were filming for a video, but left and their newest parts didn't look anything like the skating in their old companies video? I know it sounds really vague and confusing but here are two I can think of, if it makes it clearer:
Danny Garcia in Inhabitants (would have been in Fully Flared if he didn't leave the team):
Danny Way having a part in Photosynthesis, or Mind Field

Danny was on the team during and after photo. He had one trick doing a frontside 540 varial on a vert ramp. I think he was hurt or something. But yeah, that would have been an odd fit if he had a full part.

no new parts from gilbert crockett yet but i imagine his parts will now look different from his mystery and fallen parts due to no black and white and to a smaller degree, no dipped boards.

Enjoi has had pretty random guys on the team in the past... what about a Rodney part? I'd be stoked on a Manfre part, though.

conversely, arto would have fit better in extremely sorry with the style of skating he was doing, since he was pretty much the only exclusively hammers skater in mindfield.

it's hard for me to imagine welcome to hell with Muska's part.  the footage he had for it was amazing though, 'muska beatz' wouldn't have really fit into that video.

*edit*
also, Brian Anderson's Yeah right part in a toy machine video. (which would have been good and evil i think?)

i dunno, the music choice and some of the trick selection in BAs part really felt more like something id see in a toy machine video.

i agree with that actually,  i probably just got so used to popping that tape into the VCR and seeing him set it off right after beibel so many times it just seems more natural

Well, a little off from the question, but in just saying parts that felt out of place in videos...I felt like Pete Eldrige's part was out of place in Hallelujah.

Gonz in free your mind. He just doesn't seem like a transworld video kinda guy these days. You would have seen fucking 12 year olds bitching for days about how much he sucked compared to Rob Welsh and stupid shit like that.

^Did gonz actually have a part though? I thought he was the cab driver.

Cab driver for who? Henry was for Welsh, Trujillo for Drehobl, and Gerwer for Darrell. When they were advertizing it at first they advertized a Gonz part, the Gonz started krooked and withdrew all his footage, presumably to be in the krooked kronichles. That's why it only has 3 dudes in it and so much filler. I think Kevin Taylor may have been in the original line up too but dropped out even earlier than Gonz.
