Just registered my son and I for this. Going next week to the Liberty State Park event and entering in the Child/Parent category.

5 Games to compete in:
Wii Sports Resort Basketball
Wii Sports Resort Bowling
New Super Mario Coin Battle
Mario Cart Wii - Time trial
Wii Fit Hula Hoop

Gonna hit up the Statue of Liberty with my son while I'm there. Should be a fun day. My son's doing Mario Cart and Hula Hoop. I'm doing basketball and bowling and we both do the coin battle together. I'm def the weak link in the team. Been staying up late the last few nights and "training" hahahaha...

Post by: nocomply on September 22, 2010, 08:27:17 AM: We flew out to LA Labor Day weekend to compete in the finals. We finished 9th. Made a crucial mistake in the Mario Cart time trial and got knocked out of the finals.

Had an awesome time though. They put us up in a really nice Hotel in Redondo Beach. We skipped the Sunday finals and went to Disneyland. Went up to Venice beach the one day. Pretty cool to see all the weirdos and the new skatepark there. Got some really good quality time with my boy. Really hope they do it again next year.

Here is a picture of him from Venice Beach. He'd been begging for a Propeller hat (like Mario's from New Super Mario) for weeks. It didn't matter that the hat was sized for a kid half his size. He was gonna wear it the rest of the vacation.
