Party craft is another really good custom game,

trying to beat the campaign on brutal right now, shit is so fucking hard. Been blowing it online as well.

ill add you tonight. i havent been playing as much lately but i have been getting way better.
my build order is like this:
10 drones
extractor
drone
spawning pool
drone
overlord
send 2 drones to vespene
drone x 3
queen
drones all the way up to 18
then 4 sunken colony (i think they are called spine crawler in SC2, the grround defense building)
and each time i build one i build a new drone to replace the old one
also simeltaneously you shouold be upgrading your hatchery to a lair
overlord
extractor
drones all the way up to 26
then the lair should be finished by now, then you need to build a spire and an infestation pit simeltaneously
then as soon as the infestation pit is done upgrade to Hive
then i usually start my 2nd base once my flyers start coming in,
usually take about 5 mutalisks and go fuck with their SCVs cause most people dont put air D in the back of their base
then you need to start thinking about 3rd base... and so on... the game gets way more interesting from there. i have found most people dont get to me in time by the time i finish my first spine crawlers.... if someone goes for 6 zergling rush off the bat i will usually lose but if you scout properly you can see it coming and get those in before you morph your hatchery into a lair and then they will just be fucked because they havent been spending time teching
also every single hatchery you build should be hotkeyed, and every one should have a queen constantly spawning new larva

ok, I'm not really sure how you export replays though, im sure they are just found somewhere in the folder that the game is housed in.
I play Zerg, and to beat a terran wall-off at the ramp is next to impossible. I've tried banelings and then speedlings to fuck with the mineral line but its not enough of a harass to turn the tables for you early enough i nthe game. and then they will be working on air units which really fucks you over for the most part. also some people are good enough to spread their marines out so that the banelings are just a complete waste of money and gas, they need to take out 3 marines before they are effective.
i saw this replay with IDRA and he was using zerg vs terran and he used an infestor combined with a giant swarm of banelings VS a massive massive bio ball of marine maurder and medivac... he got the infestor to cast this spell im not sure if it kept the marines from firing, or if it just slowed thme down, but it was this green shit all over their marines and mauraders and then next thing you know that swarm of banelings crashed into it and just FUCKED THEM UP and terran player GGd right then and there.
i watched this interview with Drewbie and he said that he will NEVER lose to a zerg player the way things are right now. i find it extremely tough to win against terran as zerg until i discovered this new strategy. there is a video but I can't get on youtube right now, but its really straight forward.
I build 1 extra drone off the bat, then go right for the pool. then once the pool has started you have to take 3 drones RIGHT AWAY to their base . they should be finished the first farm at that point. its pretty much a miracle if they are not going for the wall off.
i attack the farm with the 3 drones and usuallyy they will send all their SCVs over to try and fiight and beat you. you need to micro your 3 guys to run in different directions for long enough to distract them from completing the wall and you must use waypoints (hold the shift key) then you just send in your zerglings,
the guy on the video even sends in all his drones but he was playing in a higher league than me and im sure he would have lost if her e didnt bring the drones with the lings but for bronze and silver u can pretty much get away with just zerglings, i fucked up their whole SCV line so early in the game he couldnt do shit and just had to GG

Man, if you are playing zerg and you want to beat terran (which is easy right now), you have to use what zerg is best at, that is, being reactionary and establishing a strong economy. Against Terran almost every zerg will build a 14 Expansion 15 pool, or vice versa. Drone up hard until you need units and your army will be so much stronger than his because you can keep replenishing it with the use of queens etc...
A one-base zerg will lose 90% of the time against a one base terran, so keep on expanding and macroing.

shit i have been going like 10 overlord then 10 pool, the longer you have those drones producing the quicker they are able to stack your economy for the long run... thats probably why I keep losing to terran. hey just out of curiosity how many drones total do you usually have out at a time? I just try and get the 3 rows filled, i think thats 24 units.
i pretty much always go roach rush against zerg or protoss. protoss sometimes wall with cannons and i cant beat it. sometimes they just go for like pure void ray and they get air units by the time i have found their base, that is really bad if you dont have hydras back home.
i was going for corruptor / brood lord combo a lot at the beginnign just making tons and tons of bases but i kept getting steamrolled by bio units mid game so thats why i normally go roach now... i suppose thats why scouting is so key haha so then im not just picking 1 strategy off the bat
i watch replays from a guy named ONEMANZERG and he says the best way fior zerg to win is to use their mobilityand speed with the mutas

i dont really understand how the ranking works... i seem to be stuck at bronze rank 1, i have won like 10 straight at least, and i lose some sometimes but then ill win a bunch more in a row. My friend who is in gold told me that I am basically in Silver and I may get pushed straight to gold.

comes down to who you beat, ive only played 40 games and it put me in gold league
i think basically as long as you beat people within 1-1.5 leagues of you you will get points and if you beat someone way higher than you it will promote you. after you win like 4 in a row it will just put you against someone better and you gotta win that one. i have never been higher than like 40th place in a league, i just got paired against two diamond players so far and got auto promoted after both wins.
i hate laddering though, every game i either die to cheese or survive cheese and collect easy win

You basically have a hidden match making ranking (called mmr) that is determined by the skill level of the opponents you win and lose against.
The system does the best to match you against people with a similar mmr as you. If you are consistently beating people your mmr will improve and so to the quality of the opponents you face. So the league system doesn't really mean that much, however in general the higher the league the higher your mmr. However that's not to say though that someone in silver or even gold league will have a higher mmr than someone in bronze.

fuck, you'd think i'd have moved up by now though? I have been @ Bronze rank 1 for like a week straight and my win loss ratio just keeps getting better and better, i am better than 1:1 now. hopefully i'll get moved up soon.
me and albatross played some 2v2 but we got smoked haha. I am horrible at team games there is always so much going on. i have been doing the best with roach / hydra combo lately but it always comes down to how good the opponent micros. sometimes they just steamroll me with like hardly any guys it seems. i noticed the korean players always focus down the thors and collossus type units first maybe i need to start doing that. i beat this guy yesterday with zerg who rushed me really good off the bat tons of harass and the only reason i won was because i spread my hydras out once i got to his base cause he had a shit load of banelings, otherwise he had easily enough to fuck my entire army up.
there is this video i am gonna try to remember to post when i get home, its so good, its TLO who is like legit pro playing his 5 placement matches as random and he does awesome stuff like win the game with 2 orbital commands, spell out TLO with the auto sentrys from reavers and win, spell out LOL TLO in creep eggs, he even wins a match where off the bat on scrap station he takes the natual of his opponent with zerg and then just builds a fuck load of spine crawlers and then slowly moves em up to his base and fucks shit up awesomely

Crest and I played 2v2 placement matches, we went 3 for 5 and we came 100th place in bronze, WTF?!??!? after the first game we realized we were no good so we just started rushing the rest of the matches, we fucked dudes up. I am going to try and cast these games tongiht, it just dawned on me that we need to make a SLAP clan, there are so many teams now and it seems like anyone can just claim they are a team which is awesome. we can have commentators on games and shit hahaha

Ive found that the matchmaking system rewards players who play differently every game. For example. playing as random and winning 5 games is worth more in points and ranks then playing as terran and winning 5 games. However, playing as terren and winning 5 games using numerous builds and strategy's is worth more then playing as random and doing the same thing (essentially) as each race.
Many people in bronze/silver from what i remember just have this sticktoit-ness with certain builds, e.g. ling rush, cannon rush, turtle to battlecrusiers, or mass void. you'll honestly never get out of silver playing as one race and doing one thing no matter how much you win.

ohhh for real eh? i have been using zerg and doing roach rush all the way to #1 i had no idea it had anything to do with build orders. i have been experimenting with 14 pool 16 hatch now and its actaully beeen working pretty good. but I just do not play against terran, i just cheese off the bat because they have too much of an advantage over zerg

naw hes totally wrong, the game doesnt track what race you play or what build you use it comes down to your matchmaking rating
lets say you are in gold league, if you play against a silver leaguer and lose your mmr will tank, if you play against a platium leaguer and win your mmr will skyrocket. if you win a bunch of games in a row and your mmr goes up to that of a league above you, you will be promoted. if you split games in your league bonus pool will continue to feed you higher ratings but your mmr will still be too low to get bumped up
basically as long as you lose to people in your league you wont get promoted, if you notice you are getting more/less points off of wins it is because you are playing against people with higher/lower ratings than you. if your win ratio is 50% in bronze league the game is gonna leave you there because it thinks you are being matched properly, if you go on a huge winstreak you will be bumped up
oh and the best way to just rape through all the leagues is to cheese it

Yeah i thought it might be wrong, but that was my experience getting to diamond in the team games, once i started using random and using counters more often then simply massing whatever unit, i went up to diamond pretty fast with a 65% win ratio.

man i am just sucking lately, me and crest lost every game last night except1 i think hahaha. i just cant find anything that works every time haha you really have to be on the ball to be good at this game, not good for people who smoke a ton of weed. i am tryin so hard to find creative plays. i seem to have the best like either going straight for cheese or going straight for long game, i always choke so hard mid game i always get caught with my pants down. hence the reason scouting is so key once again, i think i need to just scout more.

yeah i improved so much once i improved my scouting. as zerg try and float an overlord around the back of his base then float it over his base, even if it dies 100 minerals is a cheap price for intel. it also helps to get overlord speed from the lair.

i have been goin multi base lately gettin a bit better still stuck in fuckin bronze watchin a lot of day9 starcraft i am in silvver in all other leagues. i have been just playing good games a few shit ones a few are just amazing people its tough to consistently be able to win, theres so many strategies out there

ok i SWEAR TO GOD i will upload game 3 tonight. i have finally figured out how to upload the replays to my computerm, i just couldnt find the right directory for the longest time cause im on mac and it throws your dirs all over the place. anyway i hope we can continue this on and finish it, i'll update the bracket too. i have gotten so much better in the past few weeks im so hyped on the game now

me too, i tried 4 1v1s this week, i think i intentionally sabotaged myself in every game. i kept thinking thruout each "why the fuck am i playing so bad wtf am i dong" and lost horribly in all but one where the dude i was against was just really bad.

that was sick ZvT practice we did last week beerkeg... i stomped someone who did that contain with the bunkers this morning. i defended his push and came back with tons of banelings and took it.
we are definitely the sophistocated ones... fuck call of duty, sc2 I cant even explain how awesome it is and the feeling you get there is way more to it than pretty much every other game out there yet its so simple.

this locked ladder is really dope because i am a 500 point gold player with 40 games played. all my games are 30-45 minute macro fests against diamond players and the rank 1 guy in my division has 4000 games played and 3500 points fffff. gonna make it my goal to play against at least one masters player while in gold league before ladders unlock

masters was a little ambitious, i started getting diamond players last night and they are a bit better than i thought. and this new mass planetary turret battlecruiser viking style is fucking aids im gonna 4gate every time i see 2gas openers
after 70 games my understanding is:
bronze - dont know what starcraft is
silver - know what the correct thing to do is but cannot do it
gold - can successfully saturate 2 bases by 15 minute mark, but amove their entire armies and push at random/worst times
platinum - can get to 3 bases, upgrade units, and push at ok times. still crappy micro and everything falls apart/turns into basetrade attempt off 4 bases.
diamond - sick macro, pretty sick micro but still not amazing. terrans turtley as fuck, zergs are way better players than everyone else in diamond, and all protoss do 2base allins.
so wtf is diamond -> masters. i cant figure that shit out

as toss i can stomp it, as zerg it rapes me
cross positions maps with splits you can literally mass pfs so lings cant do shit as long as you scv surround and just turtle to bcs/handful of vikings
literally nothing you can do about it as zerg if its right map/played well

Hot keys help out so so much. I am on the cusp of attaining silver league status (level 2) in 3v3 but always end up getting dipshit teammates, or I have to face the same 3 races. Dammit berr keg I didn't know the griswald was you. I need to step my game up anyway though. Is there a trait that is consistent between silver and gold league ers? I feel like I have improved but don't want to watch starcraft videos, even though I have the time to since sasha grey retired.

nah gus griswald is albatross, im coorslight. just work on not getting supply blocked, building workers, and keeping up the amount of production facilities you have in relation to your amount of workers/bases and youll pretty much win all your games
