I try to spend my money on pro boards and support people, but everytime I do I get a shitty board which breaks in a week or two. Blanks on the other hand last me months.
It's like they use the shittiest wood they can on pro boards and the people selling blank actually get the quality wood. what the fuk
-
lol whut
-
What the fuck are you on about? I've had a blank, and Stereo and DLX pro decks are way better.
-
I'm guessing he's still mad that pro's put "worthless shit" in BATboxes, so they can ruin a kid's birthday.
What's next? Fuck pro model shoes?
-
my last board was a shitty blank, so you sound stupid right now
-
I must say i have been skateboarding for a while and have broken a good amount of boards ,but recently i have just been breaking board for stupid reasons. Ex. Deathwish on a boardslide, Black label on a kickflip, Baker on a bs 180..( im not a fatass)
Hey i cant bitch though i end up just scoring another one.
-
It depends on the brand. There are blank or shop decks that are equal in durability as a brand name deck.

this thread sucks. how old are you?

Blank decks bring shame

I never owned anything from dwindle

I can't stand people thinking that you are less of a skateboarder because you wont pay 60 dollars for some pro board.
Word. The dudes riding blanks are the ones who don't give a shit about anything but skating. The dudes ripping on them are either spoiled or stupid. I've had lots of pro decks and lots of blanks.. and I can honestly say blanks usually last longer.
-
fuck this thread. beating a dead horse
-
don't companies make price point decks for this very reason?
-
That depends on the company's definition of "price point." They're cheaper for a reason: sometimes it means less color, other times it results in a lower quality deck.
-
I hate when people say "bakers suck they have funny shape" or "girls suck they break to easy" , etc...when every board is shaped differently due to many many reasons, for instance ive had 4 krooked boards and theyve all been great except the one im riding now is a chode board with practilly no tail
im trying to say krookeds dont suck chode boards suck

And if the horse is dead, then you gotta leave it alone.

Fuck blanks... If youre poor, buy a shop deck or make friends with a local company owner. Blanks dont support anyone worthwhile
-
I never pay full price for decks, same with shoes. There are sites out there that sell pro decks for real cheap.

Usually, shops get some defective decks, which they'll sell for around $15. But, the people, who work there, usually try to sell it to kids and guys who can't afford shop decks...not for people who don't want to pay $50 to support a store/brand/skateboarder, but willing to drop $60 for an eighter of chronic. By the way, when I say "defective," they're just scratched up from being transported, maybe the graphic will be fucked up because the paint job was fucked, etc. But, the wood/shape is still good.
So, if anyone is in a situation, where he's low on money, ask at the shop. No matter what, there usually are used decks they'll give out for free or for a couple bucks, to those who need it.

If I could afford to spend $200-$250 buying 3 or 4 pro models a month I would but for now I just get one whenever I have some extra cash and get shop boards the rest of the time. Here in Canada its still disgustingly expensive for pro models and even with a bit of a hookup from our shop I'm still looking at 60-70 dollars for something that has a good chance of lasting less than 2 hours.
-
the cheapest blank decks at the skateshop near me have some over-exaggerated concave and they get beat up pretty quickly. if i had the choice i definitely wouldn't get a blank.

i'll buy a pro board if i can afford it, but my last three boards have been shop/blank/bummed. and the former two both skated me just as well as a pro board. i think it's a mind game to think that pro boards aren't as good. it's like, you assume your board should be better because you paid like $40 more for it, so you aren't as cautious with it as you would with a blank, which you expect to not be as good. they end up evening out in duration.
