When you get done, how do you seal it up? Any options other than stickers and duct tape?

I actually made a thread about this a year or so ago. I used black electrical tape because 1. my shoes were black and 2. duct tape is one of the worst things to hold a sweaty foot/sock in place.
If you know how though, I'd recommend sewing it up, or getting a woman to do it for you.

Taking out some of the collar stuffing and replacing it with shoe goo works really well too.

yep do this fill it with shoe goo then tape it togeather while it dries so it sticks togeather good
-
or you can take nylon thread and sew it. then shoe goo it.

just buy a mid.

i did this to some old skate his and did nothing to the top and it feels fine. i dont skate in it tho. just walk around in it.

Needle, thread, thimble.

Use floss instead of thread, maybe a thin nail to puncture the faux leather on the inside first

I bit Dill's style and cut some Skate-His and cut just above the last of the three sets of stitching. Seems to be holding up fine.

He didn't do anything except for cut along the stitching line. Skate-hi's are perfectly sewn to cut to various heights.
-
so I've noticed. it's still a good cut job.

The stitching is probably to keep the ankle padding flexible so it can bend around the seams.

Gonna try cutting down my campus hi's tomorrow. Was thinking of cutting the inside lower than the outer, then folding the outer over and gluing it down.
