Yeah! Always liked this part. Simple, no bullshit skateboarding. At the risk of sounding silly; this is timeless shredding. Someone should make a Carl Shipman appreciation thread too. I might do it later - at work right now...obviously working my ass off  :)

the way he skates ledges in that was inspirational to me, to say the least. his and rodriguez's ledge stuff in that video was amazing. stoked i got to film with him for that part, too!

I don't know if this is supposed to just be an appreciation of his skateboarding thread, but I love these down time edits he released.

use to watch his Visual Sound part before skating, still trying to get smooth nollies.
don't think a part ever did him justice, but Tincan came close.

tarantino thread made me think of bumping this one.

There are other director/editor/filmers who captured scenes or crews more fully (thinking Dan Wolfe, Garshell, etc.), but when it comes to the iconic video part, Greg is second to none.

One of my favorite skate photos.

Skately is an amazing resource:

Weren't Transworld videos then basically filmed by whoever then edited by Hunt? I'm pretty sure pretty much all of Heath's Sight Unseen part is filmed by Strickland, although, I'm much happier that Hunt edited it. I'd add, Henry's Sight Unseen part is also worthy of a mention.

I love what he did with Dan Lu's part in the Vans video, same with Chima and Kyle Walker. I'd say of filmers who are doing big time productions, he should be the go to guy, as I've preferred his projects significantly more than Ty's or Jason Hernandez's.

Definitely should be the go-to guy. Often under-rated and under-stated edits that, while epic, don't scream "LOOK HOW FUCKING EPIC THIS IS BRO"

I'd like to see his profile in that TWS, right before he quit.
