that back foot thing doesn't work for me, I have my foot on the other side of the tail, so the toes hangs off just a little bit....

try to lean back alittle bit a first when your poping the tail, it makes the flip alot smoother and faster and it doesn't make them all muska if thats what you think would happen.

half your back foot on the tail pointing straight ahead, give or take a few degrees
half your front foot on the board, at a 45 degree angle about 1 inch behind the bolts
start leaning/turning your body frontside as you pop
catch with the back foot, lead with the front
word

i put my toes in the middle of my tail, and my front foot like halfway on the board in the middle. i pop and barely start to turn when i flip it. if its on flat ground i turn a good 145 degrees and then pivot the rest i cant really explain how to do them off of stuff

'o.k....what you want to do is first learn kickflips and frontside 180's...go pretty fast...start turning your body like you're going to do a 180, snap your tail, flick your front foot like you would for a kickflip, catch the board with your feet over your bolts, keep turning the rest of the full 180...land it....'

this is pretty much every trick tip....I have no clue how to do this trick...

Some of those trick tips on the TWS site are pretty useless. Like 5 pivot to fakie ones and a bunch of dork tricks.

Reminds me I need to learn pivot to fakies.  The possibility of not locking in and/or hanging up the front truck is a scary one though.  I'm going to have to find a small mellow flat bank or something to learn those on and work it up for sure.  After that maybe the hardflip tailgrab or back foot casper or caveman crooks.

You just have to work your way up to it.  I sort of start off by riding straight up the transition and going through the motion of doing a pivot to fakie except still on the tranny (tweak your lower body but kind of keep your shoulders perpendicular to the coping/parallel with the direction you were traveling).  Once that gets comfortable, all you got to do is repeat that motion on the coping.  Just keep working on it and you'll make it and think, "Damn dude, that was pretty easy."  Now, do it with a 42" longboard.  One of the raddest feelings ever.
