actually, i think Gipper got it right
Thrasher used his image for the sillhouette in the logo for the skate and destroy game. He tried to sue them, so they destroyed him.

Does everyone forget about his kickflip melon down Wallenberg because he's a douche, or because nobody likes that trick? I think they're pretty sick if they're boned out

it's pretty sad that the kimpossible appreciation has more posts than this one.
anyway, danny seems like a pretty legit skater to me, pushing the boundaries and just being goofy/having fun. my assumption is that he just never played politics and therefore never got his name up and out there. the whole thrasher beef things is basically all hearsay, no one is in any position to confirm or deny it really. but i do feel for the guy, his transworld part started out with the knee blow-out, then it happened AGAIN, so it seems he just physiologically doesn't have what it takes to keep doing this to himself (skateboarding).
none the less, he definitely influences many skaters (haslam, as well as the kids you will never hear of), and he's still doin his thing. you can call him and his tricks kook tricks all you want, but they're the tricks that i remember, not some "legit" kids boring ass line of tricks i've seen 1000 times. not hating on standard skating but to deny this dude's effect and ability is just asinine.

didnt know anything about that thrasher beef, i just figured his bad knee took a mike-york-turn-for-the-worse and he dropped out of the game.

in the big brother interview, he said that he never claimed to be called the gonz ever. i remember reading carnie ask him "what was it getting tackled by mic-e in mid manual?" didnt say anything about the thrasher beef that i can recall, although he has his name tatooed in the Thrasher font on his chest.... they talk about that.
