http://www.gravisfootwear.com/ (http://www.gravisfootwear.com/) I just wanted to know does Gravis shoes sell good, because in my town noone really skates them, we all skate like Cons, Emerica , and Nike and shit like that
-
filters/dylan mids occasionally..
good shoes. great board feel, rip fast.
my opinion the only brand of shoe that looks better the more fucked it gets.
-
true that I just stick to companies that came out before 2009, the new companies are getting whacker and whacker

maybe not ONLY, but they do deffinatley look better all fucked up, shoe wise i generally skate either adidas or gravis, the dylan lows (vulc) are the best skate shoes ive ever had, pity my shop only carries the canvas ones
-
I was all about the arto until the last 2 pairs I had shredded in less than a week.
-
yeah I wanna try a pair but idk

Same, but only had one pair.
Good looking shoes though.
-
recently skated dylan slip ons and they're really good, going to skate arto lx after the busenitz's are done, and I have a pair of filter suede for chilling
-
Sorry to everybody, but seriously, fuck Gravis, those shoes are as ugly as Courtney Loves vagina..
-
Got a few pairs of the filters in canvas, suede, and waxed canvas. They definitely don't last long but the waxed ones look rad after a few sessions.
-

dont be so harsh on gravis.
-
Ive been running the filters and dylan slip ons for awhile now, aslong as you get them in suede they last pretty damn well, the slip on is the most comfortable shoe ive ever skated in and the new arto mid is fucking amazing skating a sample of them at the moment and there so good
-
The suede on the few I skated was hit or miss.
tbison brown and forest green artos I had blew out where my pink toe was in less than a week
I just thought they might use better quality suede.
-
the dylan slip-ons are super duper comfortable . . . . but ripped after a day or two. Stay away from the canvas version. I've heard nothing but good things about the suede ones though..
the red dylans are my "chilling" shoes. Funky board feel. Don't know how long they'd last under constant abuse.
my opinion the only brand of shoe that looks better the more fucked it gets.
true for the oxblood dylans especially...
-
skated 2 pair of Arto LX.. both great.
a pair of filter wax canvas.. like a minimal canvas shoe.
filter tech tuff.. these things would not die..
i have some dylan reider furry suede slip on vulcs (as pictured above). super great for chilling.. only done a couple tricks in them. but seemed ill.

dont be so harsh on gravis.
the weird thing is.. normally everyone complains about everyone just copying vans.. etc.
gravis did something new with pretty much their hole line.. and now everyone are making gravis rip offs.
emerica for example..
new malto? new leo? all taking ideas from the arto.
at least gravis did it's own thing. imo
-
I dont understand all the hate. If you dont like em, dont rock em.

the artos wernent exactly game changing...
-
filters are my favorite shoes. the fit amazing, don't have any stupid logos, and just have a clean simple design that works

HA theyre not even similar except the colour a little bit
-
i've had a coupe of filters, the tec tuffs are the shit and seem to last forever. the poron insoles are top notch.
they should make tec tuff laces.
-
Only pair I skated were a free pair of Filters. Nothing to appealing to me.
-
I back Gravis, good performing/looking shoes and awesome team. They just need to work a little bit more on using better materials for the shoes.

They actually don't have poron insoles. It's a layer under the insole.

fair enough, but my point is that the arto design isnt being ripped off. its a pretty basic shoe with a low profile sole. the leo is just a laced (which came out before the artos) with a vulc sole.
as for gravis' quality, the soles are really good but they need more uppers with tough suede and less canvas.
-
A big reason why I like Gravis is because they hardly make funky colored shoes and the logo's are minimal.
-
I'm either gonna get the Artos or the HUF Choices, which are better?
-
people with hurt feet and hurt fashion
-
The Dylan Mids just might be one of my favorite shoes of all time, I've bought too many pairs to count.
-
i wanna get some gravis particularly the dylan slip on in black suede, but i dont know how true to size they are, i normally wear a 9 in everything, but a 8.5 in eras/authentics, what would the right size be? or maybe i'll get janoski's, fuck.......
-

ive skated some Hufs.. non choice (bridge model) and some artos.. i'd go with huf..
-
ive been only skating gravis specifically filters besides 1 dyan slip and mid for the past year now

I wear a 12 in sole tech shoes, but an 11.5 is what I buy when it comes to Gravis
-
i had a pair of those super tough filters or whatever, i could have skate them for a year and the toe piece would have never ripped, they skated great as well
-
Got the Dylan slip on. Board feel is pretty good/comfortable, they are starting to rip a little bit though (i've had em a week now). Overall though they're pretty sick..

Get an eight, the suede stretches a lot. They're tight for a day but fit a lot better once broken in.
-
I was gonna get the arto mid when they came out
-
the ones with the ollie guard?

really? i've always thought the poron is the blue stuff the insoles are made of... but anyway, the shoes skate pretty good. i find it hard to change to a thicker shoe afterwards. i've had dylan slip ons, they fit so good that other shoes like my old filter felt pretty loose when i wore them afterwards, i was almost afraid to loose a shoe while pushing.
-
Really dig the Dylan slip ons. One of the better fitting shoes I've ever worn.

How hard is it to skate the suede Dylans? If I can get a pair for cheap, I've always wanted to try them.
-
does anybody know where I can find a pair of Suede Dylan slip ons in a size 9? i live in europe so it has to be online too

Get them a half size smaller than Vans, they stretch a lot.

which ones, the grey ones or the black ones?
the black ones are fucking amazing skate shoes, end of. the grey ones are good BUT the sole is prety damn slippy, so id only skate the fancy dylans if i was doing small and reasonably easy stuff normally. they are stupidly comfortable though

Yeah, I meant the fancy ones. For some reason, they just look like they'd be fun to fuck around in.

they are, but i dont know why, shoes shouldnt make skating more fun but im down for it, i think its that they feel like a novelty like "i shouldnt be skating these"
so yeah theyre actually really good but the grip is a bit slippy for me (ive got jessops griptape too so maybe if you have MOB theyd be fine)
-
I have a pair of wax dylan mids but I probably won't ever skate them. They're super narrow and my foot spills over the edge of the vulc
-
The Dylan dress shoes are dope, but I tried to kickflip in them but it was regular/weird feeling.
-
the artos are great - love the poron
dylan slips in suede = suede socks - my go-to shoe for almost everything casual
-
i can honestly say i've never owned anything by gravis nor anything under the analog umbrella for as long as i've been alive.
i don't think they're as prominent here as over in the west coast.
-

you're an idiot, gravis has been around forever
-
oh and i have the dylan low, pretty nice, but they ripped within the first hour of skating, but still comfy
-
made the mistake of ordering the grey filters online. they said they were suede but turned out to be more like wet towel. why do skate shoe companies make shoes that you can't skate in? by the way, they completely blew out in two weeks time.

the filters were some of the most uncomfortable shoes i've ever owned. maybe i should've sized up but oh well. went through them in a couple of weeks.
last time i spend $80 for skate shoes.
-
Just ordered these...

nah i dont like the filters either, its not a size thing theyre just no way near as good as the dylans, so im comparison they feel wac

All after a day skating?
filters - 1 day
dylan mid - 2 weeks
red dylan - few months with the help of super glue
grey dylans - few weeks
lead dylans - week
black dylans - few days so far

Received my waxed Dylan Slip-Ons today in the mail. Not only do they look killer but they're some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
-

maybe not uptown but downtown and brooklyn every other dude i see is rocking that dylan kit. people dig that shit.

you're probably right but most of the people that are downtown and in brooklyn these days are transplants from the west coast and middle america. they are not actual new yorkers.

How are the Dylan Mids? Would like to try Gravis, but most of the shoes look painfully thin.
-
I'd recommend them. Basically filter mids. And for the thinness, all Gravis insoles have great padding.
-

i'd say they fit pretty close to janoski's, they are both pretty slim shoes. I echo what someone else said and say stay away from the canvas unless you want to be shoe-gooing your shoes. I actually patched my red canvas dylan slip-ons with a piece of suede just because i loved skating them so much. the soles last forever but not the uppers. weartested.de did the dylan slip-ons suede. http://www.weartested.com/?p=773 (http://www.weartested.com/?p=773)
-
I've had a few pairs of the vulcanized Dylan slip ons. they're pretty good.
-
I bought one pair. ive only skated them like twice, didnt really like them
-
I copped a pair of filters for 15 bucks off some snowboard site a while back, skated them for a few sessions and just have them as back ups.. grippy and break in pretty easy. But I don't see them being super durable or anything, can't complain though. I wouldn't pay too much for anything Burton related either.
