He makes it look so effortless that it looks unimpressive. What a style

Yeah it was so fucking sick, backside flip el toro and full cab flip macba were insane!
-
wow this guy is still manufacturing tricks in the same fashion. the line has not had any shutdowns for maintenence either, its pretty insane the type of robot they have constructed. if only he could solve world hunger
-
Has he been skating really slowly lately?
-
I can't wrap my head around switch back tails, nevermind ones that fucking perfect.
-
that was pretty boring. id rather see sketchier and steezier same tricks from any bum around town
-
Dude has action figure hair.
-
so dope, P-Rod is my favorite skater
-

So you like watching sketchballs?
-
yeah. actually do. just one man's opinion.
nothing to fret over.
-
That back noseblunt was perfect.
-
Those sw/ backtails!!
-
his switch backtails are insane.
But my favourite one is last trick in this part, so smooth:
MARQUISE HENRY: SKATEBOARDING IS FOREVER (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyMQPIkZxfs#ws)

Yeah, he's technically skilled but there is something very dull about watching him skate. Where's the passion?
-
Skateboarding everyday for hours to the point where it's almost unanimous that you're the best skateboarder doesn't take passion? You're an idiot.
-
Hanging on for dear life on every trick like it's the last trick you'll ever do doesn't equal passion. I don't think P-rod's passion for skating needs to be questioned. That guy seems to live and breathe skateboarding.
-
clip was really tight.

for real. it's great pros have their side hobbies and stuff like being really into art, cars, music, building, whatever... but don't shit on the guy who's only hobby is skateboarding by acting like he is not a 'real' and 'core' and 'raw' skater. the guy skates all day everyday and has since he was 14 and people are trying to tell me he is not passionate about skateboarding. negro please. the guy is by no means my favorite skater but anyone can see he lives skateboarding.

Your parents wonder the same thing every day since your birth.
How do you think he's dull to watch? Should there be more whacky arm flailing like Pudwill? or this guy?

He obviously must love skateboarding to be that good but that love or excitement doesn't seem come through in his skateboarding. It's just trick, trick, trick, no biggie.
Fair enough, I respect his talent and that's just his style but it just isn't that thrilling to watch.

Dude owns a skateshop, skates constantly, enters every contest ever, has put out his own videos with upcoming friends, has filmed solo parts just to keep footage releasing at a consistent rate (even though the board company pushes back their video), and you doubt that he has love or excitement for skateboarding?
I don't think I've ever seen Paul do anything besides skate...which to me shows more than passion and excitement for what he does.
I guess I don't understand. If he arm barred and self cheered after every trick - he'd be a kook right? He rides away from amazing things with complete modesty - and he doesn't have passion? Come the fuck on.
-
skateboarding: the only sport in the world where you can get shit talked for being too good.
-
you can thate on pauls skating, hes too legit, been in the game for too long, looks like he is skating fast in those clips and sets the standards for inovation.
-
Paul is amazing, his itunes part was mindblowing, I only wish it had a different song, maybe some sigur rus or something.
-
That song fit perfect, music is personal preference, so whatever.

gotta agree that song was good, and I'm pretty much the opposite of a kanye fan

that fucking dog just cracked me up at work. suppressed chuckles from the drafting table.

By typing this statement you are hereby acknowledging the fact that you are fully aware that there is indeed such a thing as personal preference, and not only does this kind of thinking actually exist, but that you believe in it.
But what you may not be aware of is that you can apply this particular train of thought to other subjects that aren't music.
Here are a couple of easy to follow examples:
1. Someone likes "A", and you don't.
That's cool.
2. You like "B", but someone else doesn't.
Also cool!
Personal preference, baby!
It really is a wonderful concept isn't it?
Now all you have to do is try applying it the next time you smugly shit all over someone or something that other people happen to like but you don't.
Also, and this is really convenient, it can be applied when something or someone that you happen to like is (gasp!) shown dislike by another person.
Suuuuper easy.
Try it!
Anyway, thanks for being here, and don't forget to tune in next time when we'll cover the concept of how it is possible to enjoy the skateboarding of.....wait for it........two completely different kinds of skateboarders!
-
Don't be stupid.
-
Don't be stupid.
that's just YOUR personal preference...
-
I would do dark and terrible things in exchange for switch back tails like that.
-
i used to find p-rod's style pretty boring, but he's definitely grown into it and all of that footage looked amazing. he's a good kind of robot
