Not out of Supra or Deathwish. He was out, but now he is in jail until next year. They decided to suspend his boards and shoes so he doesn't spend money on drugs. Will be welcome anytime he comes back with a good attitude towards skateboarding.

such a fucking shame man. if dude completely stopped drinking & just smoked weed he'd easily be one of the elite pro's in the game by now. i hate to see that he's a pile now. dudes been one of my favorite skaters since baker 3 came out. he was seriously gifted. i remember him saying in an interview once that prison made him think about all the shit he's done & how he wanted to get his act together but once he got out he skated for a bit, got injured, starting partying again & the cycle continues. he's a cool dude but that hood nigga mentality along with his drinking problem continues to hold him back.
hopefully when its all said n done he'll make a mariano-esque comeback & get his life back on track. dude was seriously put on this earth to be a skateboarder. we'll know its real when he (somehow) removes his regular ass face tattoos.

I chuckled.
Even though Baker/Deathwish camp was making money off of him, I am sure he became some sort of a financial issue. Like why pay a guy that is only taking his money and paying for finds and what not. Plus going on tour and always having issue with cops can get old.
Hopefully more jail just sets him straight but obviously it doesn't always do that.

It sucks cause what the public eye see's is his drinking and drug abuse are the reason for his "downfall"as well as the lack of skateboarding footage you'll see from him. Yeah, I am not so sure about this. It sounds like old news of what already happened to him. As in his sponsors already put him on 'probation', wouldn't they just kick him off this time around? What is your source!?

Isn't it crazy to think that Theotis Beasley is from the same hood as Antwuan? Of course they probably had slightly different lives, but even with Antwuan as his older homie, Theotis manages to be the nicest person I have ever met and has never touched weed or any drug (not even fuckin cigs! not once!). I hate to say it, but the poorer neighborhoods of inglewood or hawthorne are engineered to produce people like Antwuan, and Theotis is the exception to the rule. So before we say we want Antwuan to die in jail, just know that though he makes some particularly bad decisions, he's a product of his environment. Therefore since Kab had grown up surrounded by aging, desperate, and bicurious uncles, it's understandable why he's such a cocksucker.

I've personally seen a few kids be 'inspired' by Antwuan to start smoking weed and drinking heavily. I'm not choosing sides or anything but he is the last person to try and pass off as some sort of role model to the younger skateboarding community.
That being said, I hope he gets clean and does some nollie heels soon.

I'm not passing blame or fault here, a lot of people get caught up in circumstances that are beyond their control-- there are also a lot of people that are content to just get by, and fulfill a lot of stereotypes placed (and forced) upon them...which is easy to do when you are constantly stigmatized.
Although race isn't as big an issue in this scene, it would be interesting to find out if there are some older dudes trying to look out for the younger ones- but then you realize that not everyone was brought up the same way, or will act the same way in a given situation.
It's just sad to see a young person, especially one that could affect so many that look like him and come from those neighborhoods, wasting so much of his life away.
The corny kids get made fun of until for not being "cool" until they reach adulthood and see the "cool" guys in fucked up situations. Image is not everything.

forreal anwtuan is a straight up HOOD NIGGA. if it hadnt been for skateboarding he'd either be dead or in jail right now. Most of us enjoy weed and beer but there was nothing inspiring to me about his reputation off the board or how he tried to come across as some cool thug drinking loads and smoking an ounce a day. If I knew him personally I'd probably feel sorry for him.
How many more dudes are going to end up in jail before certain companies realise it's pretty dumb to advertize your brand using drug addiction and binge drinking as selling points. The skating should speak for itself, as Antwuan's did.

So i have a theory as to why Antwuan is going through all these tough times. Remember in Baker 3 when that Jamaican lady is yelling at him? She screams a bunch of unintelligible words at him which I believe was actually a voodoo curse. Theo was there too, and could've very well been the one cursed, but all of the curse went to Antwuan, and now he is cursed and doomed to live a life of a wastoid. If it wasn't for the curse Antwuan would've been right up there with Theo, still skating and getting clips, maybe just enjoying a drink or hit of weed every now and then. Solution? Antwuan must find this crazy lady and kill her, it is the only way for the curse to be put to an end. When she dies, the curse dies too.

What does is it say? Nothing is creative in skating these days besides new regular nbd combos or even some Richie Jackson shit. What you're interpreting as creative probably really isn't that creative at all. That's my point. So I ask you, what does creativity even mean in skateboarding? Who is creative? Out of the thousands of working skateboarders out these days I can probably think of 10 or so who are actually groundbreaking and doing creative things with a skateboard. HOLY FUCK we have developed pretty much excactly the same theory! I thought that the voodoo lady was only mad at Antwuan, not at Theo.
Twuan is the one that bothered her, maybe actually interfering with some voodoo-practise that the lady was performing. This leads to another theory, where the lady noticed that some of the bad voodoo energy/curse went to Antwuan by accident (because Twuan went and talked to the lady, causing the lady to focus on Antwuan instead of perhaps another person that she was in the middle of cursing).
So when she was screaming in an anxious and angry manner, she was actually trying to reverse the curse that she accidentally put on Antwuan, but her anxiety grows larger when she notices that Antwuan cant be saved anymore. Thus, screaming like an insane fucking bitch.

I met him once. I was talking to a bunch of people, friends of friends out side a bar and he went out of his way to introduce himself. He shook my hand and looked me in the face and was really outgoing and personable.
The guy clearly has some problems and it seems money and the pro like only added to them instead of lifting him out of them.
I really like the guys skating and I hope he gets sick of rock bottom and finds a way to have a solid life, hopefully one that includes skating.

i know this is not the point, but my parents are jamaican so i can understand every single word she said, i would type it but it would make no sense in plain and proper English.
Can you give it your best shot? I'm really curious as to what she's actually saying.
Now that i went back and listened to it, i can still understand everything but it doesnt really make sense for the situation,
she was yelling about how her father never gave her a beating so antwuan shouldnt be trying to, only guess i have is that they were skating and their boards might have hit her and it caught her off gaurd so she thought they were gonna attack her or some shit.
