I've been skating for over 20 years now and never had a heel bruise till I started skating in those new converses. If someone notice the cons insoles comes with a kind plastic piece around the heel, that i guess was put there to avoid any deformity or stuff like that, but after wearing 3 pairs of cons in a roll I got this bad hell bruise on the very right side of my heel exactly where that plastic is located.
Plus I got a friend that is a pro and ride for cons that got the same problem with hell bruises shortly after he started getting shoes from them.
Coincidence? I don't think so, cause the new trapasso low shoe already comes with a different insole, that kinda looks better but I was able to try it cause I still can't put my fucking feet on the ground.
Thanks a lot converse!!!

There's that weird glued plastic on the heel, definitely does not do wonders to your feet.
-
I had a pair of the CTS's about a year ago and the insole completely flattened out, leaving no cushioning at all. That, along with the plastic piece, fucked my heels up pretty badly.
-
quit jumping down shit and this won't happen. lol
-
weird. skated several pairs of the pappalardo's and never had that problem

Same problem here, I will never skate cons again

I wasn't really skating stairs/gaps at the time. That insole was just garbage.
-
well just put some other insoles in? the pappalardos and yeah the insole sucked but i put some different insoles in and they are still my favorite shoe to go cruising in.

that's what I'll do if I buy them again. someone posted a link in the sale gear thread to $25 pairs of Pappalardo's, so I may end up doing that.

A shoe with minimal padding caused an injury?
Who would have guessed?

Nobody likes skating with what feels like a Chevy Impala under their feet.
-

this isnt the 90's dude there are plenty of lightweight shoes with ample cushioning/support.
as far as the cons shit that plastic thing in the insole sounds fucked. i think the best stock insoles are those supra ones with the orange gel in the heel. its one of the more thicker insoles but those jawns comfy as fuck.

Haha that "I have a friend who is pro" sentence did seem a little forced.
-
ive actually taken the converse insoles and used them in other shoes because i feel they support my feet really well. i stand on my feet for 8 hours at work and then skating they seem to do the trick for me.
Just saying son

The newest colorways of Cons shoes(cts, trapasso) should have a newer softer insole without the plastic.
Converse skateboarding shoes (cvo, kenny, star player, sea star) do have terrible insoles.
I always change out my insoles so I never experienced this phenomenon.

to back this up
on the right is the insole from a pair that I skated a few months ago. on the left is the new insole from a pair of cons that just came in at my shop
they feel a ton more supportive

They still selling tons of shoes with the old shitty ones, from all the cons i got, only the Trapasso low came with those new insoles... Plus you don't even wanna show the KA One insoles, it's offensive to sell a show with an insole like that... Such an amazing shoe ruined by a wack detail like the insole.

insoles make or break a shoe for me. especially these days with everything else often so similar. i keep the ones i like. i throw them in the washer. never the drier, they will shrink. i put them in my non skate shoes.
if you are blowing your insole game, you are are blowing your shoe game.
