People obviously know who he is. Even my buddy, who doesn't follow skateboarding at all and hardly skates himself, knows who he is. (He also doesn't know what OIAM is.) So if tons of random kids know him, on top of the massive following he's accumulated on forums like this, I doubt that he's invisible to some higher ups.

Is that how it all works? I thought each skateboarder entered their name into a lottery from birth, and then when their districts ran out of food their name was drawn and they were enlisted to battle it out for a pro skateboarder spot among the greatest of the greats. I mean we all saw that OIAM he was in...he was like 'the Dylon' in Dave Chappelle's parody of 'Making the Band'. Some of the shit he said was unreal, and he wasn't joking. It's cool though I mean its probably a combination of being socially awkard too, I mean he rips and there are kooks that are just as bad or worse than him that aren't half as talented getting hooked up, plus he'll grow up and learn. He'll probably never be fully humble or "normal" which is good because it sets him apart in a good ways and bad, but I could see his arrogance chilling out in the way Bastien's did as he matured. Honestly with Forest, he's probably already come a long was since OIAM, that was probably a huge social learning experience.

Unfortunately success as defined by those with conventional identities usually requires at the very least an ability to deal with such patronizing behavior. I say patronizing, because people who are considered socialized are usually pretty gay. Typical exceptions are people who are at the very top (they are gay too, as we all are, but I meant those at the top do not need social skills). While he is good, he is not that good. I think he could be though. However I would not bet on it. So he either gets better or he learns to deal with people in a more acceptable way. In other words he would have to look past the idea that it is more common than not that the more people that are put together will equate to a collective loss in ethics and intelligence. He was probably cheated by society, and other than become an evil man, he lives in his own world, much like myself.

I got the video in the mail the other day...I'd upload it if I knew how...Honestly i kinda expected more from Forrest's part...The song was on point and so was his skating but I felt like it was too short compared to the other parts...He does this fakie frontside flip that is real dope and he does this funny thing with his head when he lands if you pay attention...I liked Nick's part...Money Mike had some sick shit in it...I thought Richie Amador's part was the dopest of all...his ender is nuts Bart Jones describes it perfectly...I liked his trick selection a lot...All in all the video was worth the 10 bucks...If you hate Waka Flocka you might not like it....

Forrest's part was great. It was full of bangers. Some hubba I never seen he switch tail slid. That stood out. All in all I'm real bummed on the lack of lines these days in parts. Its so nice to see skaters you appreciate having a few good lines in their part.

this must be your first video if you think youre going to be making money off of it, or even breaking even. if youre still making videos on your own in 2012, its for the love and not for profit. you need to face it that youre gonna lose $2000-$3000 on this and that most of your friends probably arent going to pitch in. most people are just going to wait a week or two until youre not lurking this thread 24/7 and getting links taken down.

To be honest, as much as I want to support whoever made the video, I'm a cheap ass, so i'll probably wait till I get my chance to see Forrest's part. I am a little surprised that the maker of the video is getting shit though. I dunno, apart from the ridiculous fines for downloading copyrighted media, I never fully understood the argument internet pirates had against content creators that felt they were owed something. It'd be nice if everyone was lenient about how their content get's distributed, but at the end of the day, it's their content, who am I to say how they should feel about it? I'm not going to sugarcoat it...even though I know I'm "stealing," I'm don't really give a shit because I'm not a very good person :P

personal experiences. im sure youre right about those az videos making money, but i dunno about vhs tape. people buy even less skate dvds in the east. i dont think the past two statics even made any money.
how do i know his intention is to break even/make money? the dude is axing all the youtube links and asking $10 when most people here only want to see the one part.
you can either waste a lot of time making sure your video stays off the internet in an attempt to recoup expenses. you can also say fuck it, get some hard-earned/desperately needed relaxation and be psyched that you made a video you and your friends can watch for the rest of your lives.

That might be the weirdest skate video I've ever watched. The music and skaters were all over the place. As if you'll ever see Forrest, Goro, Money Mike, Fellers and McClouth in the same car on the way to a sesh. The filming and editing were pretty hard to handle too.
