Great thread. I ride by the Gonz double kink drop boardslide from issue 14 on my way to work every day and I've never seen that footage.
-
Great find. I remember 60/40 ads killing it right when I started picking up magazines. Sick to see some videos.
-
seriously, good call on these. I have been watching the old 411s on the stately site that I used to watch when I was a kid, and it's funny how unique these adds come across now, definitely can see that Gonz influence. Some of the commercials are almost normal and others are totally oddball, but the skating is always fresh.
Also, what a sick team! 60/40, 2012 needs you!

thanks for posting those. one of my favorite boards was a 60/40 blank i got in the mid nineties, thing maintained its pop for 6 months and never chipped,i had to retire it bc it razored after that 6 months,i wish i bought a few.sick boards

Those commercials rule.

Need to see that commercial with the fat suits and them shooting each other. Anyone know how to find it?

The Gonz line in the parking garage with the half cab flip manual, kickflip, 180 fakie manual and fakie kickflip always confused me. I feel like he had to have known how repetitive the trick selection was in that. Did he know, and just not give a fuck? Maybe he knew that it would bother people like myself and did it to fuck with people.

60/40 board was the first legit board I ever purchased reminding me that these commercials are still rad even today.
When has Gonz ever gave a shit what people think how he skates???
I wanna see an interview with Bobcat, what's he up to nowadays? how was he 'really' like?
