Oh hai

holy shit fakie back tail varial heel?
-
The benches have been gone from that spot for years - they BYOB. Bank to benches are a dying breed in LA schoolyards. It sucks too because they are so fun! Most of the ones I know of have had the banks destroyed or the benches chained, knobbed or are worn out (the fiberglass edges split apart). There are a couple left that I still see people film at and they are the worst ones. Lockwood seems to be back in action so that may be one of the last really good ones.

that trick is fucked, goddam
-
in the credits of fully flared he tried front 180 fakie 5.0 rick flip out and got heaps close, that was sick
-
Haha I think that's the bench from the berrics.
-
Big budget LA skating continues to blur the line between real spots and fake spots. Something about this trick is kind of awkward. It'd be fucked on a normal ledge. Remember the frontside halfcab flip crooked grind fakie? That one seems much more difficult.

You may be happy to learn that Joey Brezinski does one in the new Grizzly ad. Sorry I don't have it handy.

Looks like a fakie back tail big spin heel to me, but I guess its a varial heel.

I find Joey's is more gnarly than guy's. Its pretty sick.
In the latest Thrasher. Too lazy to take a photo of it :P

tail stall pressure flip. gross.

When I was there one time, this kid showed me where he & his homies stashed one of the original benches over behind a building & dragged it over to the bank to skate it. He said "but the Girl dudes always bring this super nice silver bench." Then he looked kinda sad for a sec & said "they don't like my bench, bro."

Guess no one taught you how to scroll right.
-
ofcourse I scrolled right, that's how I know he didn't slide. I like Guy, but this trick is booty, especially for a spitfire ad.
-
^90% of bank to bench tricks are slid/grinded a foot or less. I bet the footage will make it look good.
-
That's the exact reason why I think 90% of bank to bench tricks are trash. You don't really have to grind or land the trick properly.

From where he got on to where he flips out looks like at least like one section of the bench supports or about the length of a board which is pretty close to three feet, yeah its not super long but where did you get that he didn't slide at all?
-
Haha I think that's the bench from the berrics.

I'm not saying this trick is revolutionary, though it is awesome but bank to benchs allow people to do tricks they otherwise couldn't do. Tricks no one often thought of. This leads to the overall technical progression of skateboarding. Isn't that not only a good thing but also the side of skateboarding you support most?

Acknowledging shitty skateboarding? Is this for real?

I skated that place a long, long time ago when the fiberglass benches and tables were still there. Seriously those bank to bench set ups are a lot harder to skate and do actual tricks on than you would think. I managed sweet F.A not that that is saying anything. And tailsliding that fence is just plain crazy.
I also went to Lockwood and sat down and smoked cigarettes. Thats all I could manage there.

ABD, dude...:)

No shit! Not to mention you have to push uphill to get to it.
-
Guy skating a bank to bench is always good. It doesn't even matter what he does.
-
I hope this trick gets known as the hypno swirl.
