Title: Shoe recommend thread
Post by: #notacop on April 09, 2013, 02:43:18 PM
Post the 5 tricks you do most, what you like to have in a shoe and get a recommendation  for your next pair

BS flip, Hospital flip, FS nosegrind, FS noseslide, Pop shove late flip

Long life, Lots of grip at the toe/lots of flip (I do double flips into everything), and being mids is super important

This seems beyond stupid, but I'll give it a try.  Odds are I already hate you, so you better be in the ballpark with this.

ollie
FS smith grind
Slappy
bs diaster
your mom/sister

Thin cup, comfort, med to thin tongue, not red.  White laces.

Yeah... a lot of people think it's a casper, but it's not. You don't use your back foot with a hospital...

Kickflip
Hardflip
Varial heel
Full cabs
Boneless

I want a shoe with minimal stitching, pointy toe-cap, and preferably that it's a mid top.

Ollie
Kickflip
Full Cab (backside)
Pop Shuv
Nollie fs bigspin

I like a thin to medium padded shoe. Either thin cupsoles or medium padded vulcs. Lots of arch support. Some form of cushioning beyond basic insoles. Long lasting/grippy soles. Natural gum rubber grip is always a bonus. Quality suede. Usually dark colors.

Reynolds Mids or Skytop 3's are easily your best options.

The skytop 3's actually not that bad, I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive! I'll have to look on amazon or ebay. Thanks man!

I usually get mine off 6pm.com for like $60-$70. Just make sure whatever colorway you get is suede, preferably the black or grey ones. The white TUF ones should be pretty durable too but I don't know too many people who like to skate all white shoes
