Got some free Hufs, the model itself is great, the color wasn't. Except for the gum sole.
So I decided to bleach 'em and see how it turned out, they were free anyways. Heres what they came out to look like.

thats actually pretty cool. if you didn't like the brownish color you could buy some suede dye.
either way you should post them when skated for awhile.

Yeah I'm thinking about reviewing em, like a written review.
And I'm actually diggin the tan color, but yeah could always dye em black.

Got a old toothbrush, got a solo cup filled it with bleach and just scrubbed the suede, at first it looked like a weird brownish green (would of been hyped on that too, anything is better than burnt orange) and it slowly faded into tan. Very happy with how they came out.

did you rinse them off after you bleached them? i dyed some shoes black and after skating in them, the bottoms of my pants got some dye on them... so watch out. that would suck to get bleach on your pants

Yeah kinda learned this the hard way. It was raining yesterday and I caught a little bit of it before I could get inside and it looks like the suede is totally fucked. I'm still gonna skate them, but for how long; I don't know.

A+ job on the bleaching. Getting suede wet and/or bleaching seems like such a risky task.

We used to do this in the 90's. whoever was distributing Vans only got a few colours of Half Cabs so we would buy the all black ones, bleach them and have tan and black. The suede was compromised but not so much that you wouldn't do it again.
