Title: Round/fat deck?
Post by: Xen on August 17, 2013, 04:43:20 PM
Went out to snag an 8.5" today but the shops near me suck balls as I could only stand on a Krooked and a Girl, everything else was 8.25" or under.

Anyway, the Krooked was ok but I'm looking for something that's under 32" and has sort of a wide rounded shape to it, if that makes any sense?

DLX, to me have a squarish-rounded feel to the nose compared to say, a Zero. I quite liked the shape of my last deathwish, just hated the wood feel.

Basically nothing pointy-ish (no kayo) Suggestions? Keep in mind my local shops suck and I don't even know if there is a zumiez around here to scope decks out :P I also want to try out a smaller companies boards, preferably made in U.S.A.

Essentially I want a 'fat' 8.5" deck brand!

I would suggest this. Great boards and the shape isnt really too squarish or pointy

Might be a challenge to find an 8.5 that is under 32.

The new Habitat Gall Totem is 8.5 with a really full and rounded shape, but it's also 32.

AWS has some 8.5" x 31.5/75 but Dyrdek is tool and I won't support him ;)
