I'll be heading to china for a month of shredding in a few days and am trying to get my shit together. I think I'm pretty much good to go but thought if I asked a few people they might think of something I didn't. Thanks in advance ;D

Check out what the Legion of Sorts dudes are up to, if you're going to be around Shanghai.
You've probably heard a lot of this, but in case you haven't:
--toilet paper (seriously, some places won't have it)
--a little extra money for bottled water
--maybe set up a VPN before you head head out there
And if you are in Shanghai, absolutely hit up Homies: http://www.timeoutshanghai.com/venue/Restaurants__Cafes-Western-American/9556/Homies.html (http://www.timeoutshanghai.com/venue/Restaurants__Cafes-Western-American/9556/Homies.html)
Have an awesome time!
where are you gonna be? i moved here 8 months a go.. also depends which time of the year you decide to visit.. i'd suggest just learn some basic mandarin (*numbers, excuse me, thanks etc) can be found in phrasebooks or online. also download this app called Pleco- its a translator you can use w/o internet connection.. I'd suggest prepare your self for more of the culture shock, getting used to densely packed places, etc.. all depending on your traveling experience.
but yeah honestly a lot of basic shit mentioned here can be purchased once you're here for reallllllyyy cheap. since you're visiting there's not much i'd recommend.. moving would be another story.. best of luck and have fun.
