Title: How do you no comply kickflip up steps?

Never understood how this trick works and can't find a video that's slow enough to see what they are doing with their feet.

i started a thread one page back asking for help with it. i havent really put any time into learning it yet though. these were the best responses.

Put your toes in the toeside pocket of the tail (as apposed to heelside) and literally stand on your toe as you approach the obstacle. You are essentially attempting to pressure flip downward into the curb and this causes the board to bounce backward. It's a ricochet movement, the obstacle is the thing that flips the board. I remember when I first had someone explain this to me, it was a lightbulb moment, like it all finally made sense.

As for doing the 180 ones, you need to approach the obstacle at the slightest angle backside (as in backside grinding the bottom step), and when the board ricochets it will sort of spin frontside, and you pivot.

You're also going to want to take your back foot off before you hit the object. More specifically, you'll want to fling it a bit since your tail should hit the object instead of the wheels.

What part of the board hits the steps or the obstacle to cause it to flip?

Just try it a few times ... for some reason it's harder to explain than do.  If you can straight no-comply you just smack it in there and get your foot out of the way and it flips.  Just jump for it and ride away  :)

Hopefully it's clear but just in case what you're trying to do is get the board to hit the curb on the tail. The board is tilted towards your toeside so it bounces off the curb and flips in the opposite direction. People gotta start doing trick tips for obscure tricks like this, this prob being the last trick where i was genuinely baffled at what's going on. There's some clip of Kyle Leeper skating in the rain where he does one filmed from behind. That's how i figured it out.

No comply double flip up two stairs might be the best trick I've ever done.
