never ridden a welcome before and just bought a nimbus 3000 (8.5). What would work out better, 149s or 169s?
-
I think there's a bit of taper with that shape, can't remember, but i think 149s would be the way too go,
If its a bit short just add some washers on the inside of the wheels, works well

215s is the right answer.

A lot of the baker dudes ride 139's with an 8.5 board.
-
139 = 8.0
149 = 8.5
159 = 8.75
169 = 9.125
The choice is yours, but I would go with the one that matches your board width.

Get the 149's there isn't much more reason to rock a bigger truck than that the turning radius will still be good on that size board + throw some bones hard bushings and don't use a bottom cup on there that has worked wonders for me

FYI - this board is deceiving. It's more akin to an 8.25 in it's size, i'm pretty sure that's what it tapers to at the ends, but it's 8.5 at the widest portion.
Needless to say - 149's is what you want. It's what i had when i rode it.
