i used to do both as well.    A lit cigarette and cycling to work late is a good one too,(dont fall over the front of your bike !)

In the fall I usually spend the first half hour of my sessions with a medium from dunkin and two marlboro 27s. The best.

This.

I work at a coffee joint downtown nowadays and its the bomb. Free coffee, free beans, making tips, really attractive female coworkers, homies to skate with.

coffee is the greatest.

grossly depletes you're bones and joints of minerals, more than anything else that people ingest. A top scoring diaretic (dehydrates) as well.  Buy some extra years of skating  by grabbin some green tea breh

"There are much more important risk factors for osteoporosis than coffee intake.  So, enjoy your coffee and do what you can to modify the other well-established risk factors listed above."

god those "drink coffee its healthy" articles are plentiful -every 2nd issue of the paper's got one (coffee is big indus). By all means people enjoy you're vices, but don't kid yourself.  Most skaters don't consider themselves atheletes which is great, but skating is physically demanding.  I dont even know what osteoperosis is but I do know that when coffee goes through your sys. it takes alot of minerals with it just sayin.

a large regular from dunkies [or lately cumby's cause $1] and ideally a marlboro but lately pipe tobacco jammed into a tube cause taxachusetts. coffee and cigs are the best, whether you're a kid w/ a job or on that AA program. throw in some prescription painkillers and we don't even have to skate. that's the triumvirate of vice right there.
half my favorite part of skating is driving to the spot w/ coffee and cigs listening to college radio.

That about sums up colloquial life in this neck o' the woods; beautifully put [especially noting the $1 Cumby's joint/DD obsession].
     |-> This is the only area that I have witnessed people willingly yield for others who are coming/going from DD.

I could do the embolden for hours, almost therapeutic sometimes as the 3 meld to reach some level of Earth destroying quasi-symbiosis.

Coffee & cigarettes ((+)( ___{insert}___))  = Flavor Country
                                              |-> [Primary Variables Involved]
                                                    1. Cannabis & Canibus
                                                    2. Analgesics

Note: I can't smoke cigarettes in the morning with my coffee (without aided assistance), but anytime after noon is usually good.

The almighty equation.
It used to be espresso and soft case Pall Mall reds for me, I quit smoking but I still miss that shit.

One of the few times I miss cigarettes is when I have a delicious short black in front of me. Also this:

If you miss cigs, you may as well just light up. I dont miss them- they tasted like shit, i'd be stuck somewhere smoking the things and i had trouble running up stairs.

I have almost an hour between when I get to my office and when I actually start working. I spend that time sitting in the complex courtyard with a 3-shot sweet cream latte, about 5 Winstons, a few skate vids on my phone, and daydreaming about doing manuals on the step/ledges I sit on.

Today I went a few degrees hot on the steamed cream, kind of a bummer.

I quit smoking for a number of years, had to while doing the CASL circuit. I'd get winded and weak about 40 seconds into each 60 second run. When I put down smoking I didn't crave coffee that much. Wonder if that'll happen after I quit again.

Cigars taste awesome, but cigarettes for the most part are disgusting.
I'm gonna try and enjoy coffee while I'm young and switch to tea later on for health reasons.

On another note, it always makes me cringe when there's shots of people with a coffee and/or cigarette in skate videos.  So played out.

Have a cup of water with each cup (try to) eat healthy and you'll be fine.
