Title: Hardest flatground trick
Post by: Tracer on September 22, 2014, 06:31:59 PM
I skate flat a lot. Still cannot nollie inward heel. Tried it 100 times and managed to land on deck zero times.

Another killer is the F/S heelflip, i can do it switch but regular will take a bit.

What's your nemesis flat trick?

nollie inward heel. i can't for the life of me keep a regular frontside flip under my feet.

i don't go out of my way to try new flat tricks very often but as far as tricks i would like to be able to do and can't, fs heels and sw 3 flips. i've always thought fs heels were impressive but they don't work for me. sw 3 flips i made a conscious effort to learn one summer in cleveland. i plopped down on quite a few but either in a dead stop or immediate revert. all those bails prolly helped when i turned around to do them nollie but back in my day we considered that a 'little kid's trick' whereas sw 3 flip was the cat's pajamas. and that cat was leonard kirk.
i can't nollie heel so there's like a dozen chinks in my flatground armor right there but if i could magically acquire new flippers they'd be sw 360 flip and fs heel. or maybe bigspin flip. i've got the precursor chemicals in my lab, i just don't know the proper ratios.

Sw bigspins suck. Never done one. If I do I want it to look like Walker Ryans.

Nollie f/s flips are few and VERY far between. I personally don't know anyone who has a proper one.

probably something like ollie impossible underflips that are actually vertical and not 360 shuv underflips or 360 hardflips. hey that one has "hard" in the name. maybe it's 360 hardflip? 540 front shuvit? that thing chris chann does, the dragon flip (360 dolphin) i'd imagine is probably the hardest.

I think fs 360 heels might be the hardest. you seem em every now and then switch but when was the last time you saw it regular

Agreed this trick is fucked. I don't suck at flat ground but with this trick I can't even begin to get close. Literally everything from the setup, to popping this trick feels impossibly awkward. I don't think I know anyone who can do this trick.

The ss 360 heel bigger flip that Luan does in the Battle of the Berrics.  I'd say ss bs 360 flip on flat, but I've seen at least 4 people do it well (Mikemo, PJ, Milligan, Eli Reed).  I've never seen anyone do Luan's trick, on flat or as good at least.

Walker Ryan in his debut pro part did ss 360 bs flip in a transition.

For me it would be fs heels and varial flips. But I barely try those anyway so it makes sense

fs heels are easy to do ugly, but if you want them proper it is super hard

agreed on nollie fs flips. the other day I was trying those and I couldn't get the board to even half flip for shit

Amongst tricks I do the hardflip, the b/s flip and the b/s heelflip should come easy, but are as rare seen as Mewtwo.

Nollie f/s flip is like my go-to trick I've had it for years. It's not even hard that trick almost lands itself

A few years ago, I fucked up my left ankle (I'm goofy), and I can't flick it anymore. So I will probably never land a switch/nollie flip. If I did, I would have to kick strait down to flip it.

by far the best ones ive seen are sw 360 gazelle heelflip, sw 540, and nollie heel late shuv.. all done by flatground master luan oliv.

the ones i have that i always get people out in skate are REGULAR fs 360s (sw much more common), and switch backbig spins, those radnomly come easy to me, but ive yet to met anyone who could match it in my area, though im sure there are plenty

i agree but the past few years ive seen some amazing ones by shane oneill, luan (over the bench going speeding fast in chron 2, also he always pops out of them from nosemanual which nobody else ever does), chris colbourn, ishod has a mean ass one as well

fakie heel is deceptively hard. not in the way fs 360 heel is but i hate when someone does it in SKATE. nollie halfcab flips are easy to me. just depends on the person.

^just pretend it's a nollie heel

^like w.axl rose said
'people heelflip so many goddamn ways
it's all gu-reek to me'
*except regular, i can totally do those. bs, halfcab, whatever. straight ones that aren't regs all elude me. i see enough people do sw/nollie that they don't seem hard but fakie is harder than the sum of it's parts.

That's weird I wouldn't say I have them proper but nollie fs flips are a trick I never found to be too hard once I learned nollie flip. I only landed about 2 out of 5 but I've never really had to work for them. One trick I've never been able to do however is a regular 360 flip, I just can't figure them out. I can do them every other way and I can do regular big flips but the 360 flip always sneaks away, I can't catch it.

Canada is such a fucking lovely country. How the fuck did they managed to produce tracer? I mean, like, I am a dumb fucker, no denying, but fuck, I would rather be dead than see this human testicle type shit on internet forums. And I love idiots on internet forums, like myself, but fuck, I like to rub cigarette smoke on my face and be fucking pseudo this and that and say fuck. But please this dicksweat is more annoying than fundemantalist christians, gonorrhea and athopic dermatis all together. No offence.
