Title: What ams have been am too long?
Post by: Tracer on September 27, 2014, 06:48:37 PM
Seems like everyone is turning pro this time, I was really surprised at a lot of these like TJ Rogers etc.

There are a lot of ams who are better than these new pros

Yes, and it's a crime. Hopefully he'll have a board with his name on it after the Dekline video

TJ Rogers is one of the few who actually deserved to go pro.

Abdias. I mean I don't think he really deserves to go pro by he's been Am for like ten years now

Dennis Durrant. Even Lem and Forrest have gone pro now haha. Pat Burke is just fucked, why wouldn't slave make him pro after Raybourn left? He dropped one of the best parts of all time.

Also fucked the lengths the Happy Medium guys are having to go to turn pro.

Jon Rob and Hawkins definitely deserved a deck after AHM2. DT basically blacklisted himself after the whole AHM3 debacle.

Also, Ben Fisher comes to mind.

This. He should've been pro a long time ago. If I had to choose to only watch one part for the rest of my life, it would be a tough decision between pat's radio television part or mj's man down part.

What's up with DLX brands taking so long to turn guys pro? Brockel, Sebo, and I'm pretty sure that Antoine Asselin guy is on Real too, right? Also, he's pro now, but Brad Cromer was am for Krooked for what felt like forever.

I think one reason Pat burk isnt pro is because of blackbox .  I might be wrong here but they were never independent from blackbox were they ?  If the dist is going through major changes , companies going under , team changes and bringing NB in . Might be abit insecure to start giving people pay raises or starting to print new boards and so on

He should be pro though , just wish he produced more footage

Brockel is on Real and they have too many pros as it is.

Antoine Asselin is Canadian, French Canadian at that, and on Real. He just doesn't seem like he would market well at all in the States which sucks because he absolutely shreds and is a super cool dude.

Pat Burke probably isn't pro because I really doubt that Slave has the resources to turn him pro right now, the last time I really saw them making any money at all was right before and immediately after they put Raybourn on. He would've made them some cash I'm sure but got swooped by birdhouse.

You'd have to think he's going pro after the Plan B video drops. As for guys who have been Am for awhile David Reyes should probably be pro by now, but i don't think he even has a board sponsor at the moment.

My guess is its done and when they've finally gotten rid of all their stock they'll officially announce it. Seems like Dwindle took on the more profitable parts of Blackbox, Mystery still has their site up but it hasn't been edited in awhile considering its been a couple months since Asta and Windsor James announced they weren't on anymore.

Dennis Durrant and Tommy Fynn two poor friends

I think Tommy won a McGoof cup or something a minute ago and got like $100Gs+ so he's probably doing all right. Durrant is on Adidas so he's probably getting an all right check from them every month.

Jordan Taylor
Ryan Spencer (going pro after Dekline video)
Dennis Durant
Stephen Lawyer (Expedition has way too many flow dudes who kill it to turn anyone AM and I'm sure now that he's on Sk8Mafia it'll happen in the next year or two after one or two more parts)

I don't think Boulevard has ever turned anybody pro, right? Hopefully they're working on a project or have something going because between this dude and Jordan Sanchez, the momentum is definitely there. Amburger was a real treat when it came out. Hopefully getting fully on DC would help Iqui to boot.

Dolan Stearns (it's not even funny anymore, this guy shoulda been Pro a year ago)

Peter Raffin

Zach Wallin

+1 on Brad McClain

And even though we're talking about Pro status, someone needs to give Brandon Nguyen the full AM hookup already. That guy is ridiculously good.
