Title: Shoes that breath well
Post by: 360 frip on October 18, 2014, 08:24:09 PM
I'm skating dunks at the moment and they're made of some wierd mock leather that is keeping my feet sweaty as fuck. I've tried heating a needle and putting holes in  the toe piece but it is too much work.

I think the last shoe I had that breathed well were the Kalis's. Had G6,  but their mesh thing didn't seem to do much. Good idea though.  I noticed the new Matt Miller Dc has a new air flow thing.

Any recommendations? I'm building a cheese farm here.

I haven't had any problems with the Sutters I'm skating or the Dylan's. Both appear to be decent in terms of breathability.

Shoes I did have breathing problems with: Vans Stage 4's (Low or High), Blazers, Kostons, and the Busenitz Vulcs. This shoes were awful for breathing.

I don't know if there is a shoe out there that will really ever help this issue?.

g6s were noticeably more breathable than shoes I've had in the past

The DC Lynx have a bunch of small holes on the inside of the foot. I live in AZ and have never had a problem with them breathing.

I have a pair sitting in a box, they seem really nice but a bit narrow for me.

The DC Lynx have a bunch of small holes on the inside of the foot. I live in AZ and have never had a problem with them breathing.

I have some of these too. May crack them open next.

Not sure about the look of the BA's but they do have that mesh panel.

I thought they worked really well for my feet. I have high arches and the sole worked really well.. The side wall isn't the strongest where i get my ollie bruise the toe part has a layer of rubber underneath it.. If you like cupsoles and have a high arch this may work well for you.

ventilated sport socks helped me solve that foot sweat problem. i got a few 6ers of polo sport socks from some department store while i was in the states, great socks.

Going to skate the Lynx. Tired of my feet soaking in those dunks.

Even with sports socks though the climate out in HK is brutal on your feet.

This is good advice, however, sport socks are thinner in the heel and toe due to how running/cross training shoes fit.

All I use are sport socks (thin/mesh tops, arch support elastic, etc.) and my feet swim in Vans/Etnies/Adidas (no so in Nike or DCs).

Prod6s were the worst shoes for breathability (and I was living in Austin during the summer at the time). Adidias Businitz and the Etnies Highlight have a mesh tounge (add in mesh/thin toppe'd socks and you are in business).

They look dumb but breathing strips might be an option....

The Emerica Reynolds have some ventilation on the sides.

P rod 8's

I  thought the same thing looking at them last week.

Looked at a ripped laces review and it said they don't breath at all?

I skated them once (will probably return to them soon) and thought they breathed pretty good

On the Lynx at the moment.

Have to say I love them.

Just solid all round. Light, comfortable, good board feel and a bit of nostalgia. Best shoe I've skated in a while.
