I will never know Ryan and I'm not butt hurt because of his lie. The video was good, but somewhat disappointed by most of the same reasons everyone on this message board has already mentioned. Anyhow, In terms of this topic I think Gary nails it when he addresses Sheckler, AntiHero, and Girl/Chocolate. I always find him entertaining, but something about this episode made me feel like this dude really gets it:

Yea I liked his part a lot and at least he tried it and they showed us. It would had been better imo if the part started with the el toro atempts just to get it out of the way. PJ not having a part is far more disappointing. It doesnt make any sense.

Sheckler not doing BS flip was lame. Mostly cuz I spent the whole time watching his part waiting for the trick. Since it never happened, as much as he killed it, I was not satisfied.
What I'm really mad about though is how in the fuck PJ Ladd, Danny Way, Colin McKay couldn't put out a part in seven damn years. At least sheckler put a part out. Did they really plan never to put out a part in the vid?
Why the fuck did this video take so long when more than half the people I wanted to see didn't even have a part. I have respect for sheckler, felipe, and torey for actually putting parts out. and chris joslin for going insane.

Dumbest thing i've read in awhile, he has amazing tricks but his lipslide combo's get boring after awhile. One of the best of all time??? Busenitz is way more of a person who skates for the right reasons. Torrey openly states he's going for SOTY and skates for Red Bull, wouldn't really call that the right reasons? I talked to Dan Sheckler and Ryan Way at Regal Cinemas at the Michigan premier. They are comeing out with a B-FALSE 2nd video that is all CGI. All the tricks that were impossible are now possible. comes out in 2021 though :( ill be eighth grade by then and hover boarding

this. its possible for sure. I remember reading in an old transworld that el toro is like 9/10 feet tall. I dont remember exactly how long they said it was, but theres definitely some serious distance to clear. Ive seen sheckler rifle shit off the top of 8/9/10 ft bowls to flat with relative ease, he can handle the vertical impact no problem. Ive never been there so I dont know, but it seems like when skating el toro youd have to haul ass and pop super clean to get out and over that mountain of stairs. Most of the time when you see dudes flipping their board down crazy tall shit theres not as much distance as height, so they can go a bit slower which kinda makes it easier to stay centered over the board and catch the trick. Rolling kinda fast and doing a bs flip on flat can be scary; navigating that semi blind awkwardness at full speed carrying 10 feet of vertical impact leaves like zero room for error. He could have slammed sooooo much harder. (he also coulda just done it, but thats neither here.)

Wouldn't matter if Shecks did or didn't do the trick (with or without the claims, though it's pretty kook to claim it) if the video it was supposed to be in was more than just pretty decent. I'm not sure what the 12 bucks I spent on the video is going to get me beyond the slightly bored first watching.
I'll watch Torey Pudwill again but fuck no is he better than Busenitz. First impulse is to claim Busenitz could handle some of that garbage Pudz does, but I don't totally want to call those tricks garbage, because they aren't. It's sick, but it suffers from the Early 2000's Daewon-Complex, which is that it's way too far out there for you to relate to. Daewon kinda dialed it back, especially in that DVS part and around, and yeah, he was SOTY.
Put another way, let's do an informal poll. Who's got the deal with the devil to skate like Busenitz, and who's go the same deal but to skate like Pudwill? YEAH.

I believe it is entirely "possible" to backside flip el toro. Bachinsky kickflipped it a long time ago, some of the stuff I've seen Sheckler do are crazier than that. I also think it is very likely that Joslin could do it. That Barcelona bs bigspin.....I wouldn't put it past him. Also the other "True" thread has scans of an interview with Ryan talking about how he wasn't prepared. I'm sure he's got it. It IS however, DUMB AS FUCK to say you did something so monumental to the point that viewers are waiting the whole video just to see it. It demoralizes people who pay to see it.

YEAH my man. Seen Gustavo this summer or spring at a demo and he's the most consistent fucking human in existence. It's unreal. And it looks really good. He's even got good taste. Maybe it is too much too ask but some of that bland ass China plaza foote (lo siento QS), was just bland, we agree. He also skated...slow. Not that he should be faster, like, that's all fine, but I got in my head doing his lines, and it was like, "I'd take a push there, ifIcouldevenfuckwiththelinehe'sdoing." But it still seemed like he needed some other pushes.
As for Pudz, he's got gorilla scary abilities to do (for instance) that fucking backtail on the highway bridge or whatever. The shit he does that is some serious 0.001 percent of people on Earth have the ability to do this shit type shit is amazing. Also, that long quad-kink back lip. He's srooooooo good, but yeah, 0 finesse, and bad gear.
Pretty sure he might get SOTY and that'd be super funny because it would be the most fraudulent SOTY ever, way past DEVEEEEED.

Felipe's part was one of my favorite in the video. He actually did new tech tricks on ledges without getting circusy, and you don't see that very much these days. And nobody else is nearly as good at 360 flipping into tricks, and that's a pretty impressive skill to have, even if he uses it a lot.

yeah his part was sick, but that china footage gets old after awhile, he had like three clips that weren't in china. I dunno, just seems more interesting to me when a video part consists of all different spots.
