For the last 35 months NHS, Inc. has been researching, testing and prototyping with the goal to completely reinvent a skateboard product that has lacked any real innovation for over thirty years - the bearing. Introducing Bronson Speed Co. - Next Generation Bearings, Designed for Today's Skateboarding. Bronson Speed Co. bearings are the fastest, strongest, longest lasting, longest spin skateboarding bearing ever made. The bearing has been reinvented.

You see that's cool and all but what we really need is more balls in the bearings so we can have more balls while we're skating. 1+1=2.
-
funny that they spend time and money engineering a better skate bearing only for kids to "pop the shields" because they think it makes them faster
-
On my 3rd week with these.
Highly impressed, really smooth and fast with no signs of slowing so far.
-
i'd love to pop off the shields.

Do you know how much they will retail for ?
-
Does any one know when they'll be dropping? Because I was about to buy a set of Swiss but I may hold off to try these.
-
Still made up of the same basic components. Different cuts on plastic and microceramicvoodogrooves?
Nothing innovative? Unlike https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9O5QQuFgrc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9O5QQuFgrc).
-
All this time and that's the name they picked...
-
i just don't get why companies even do this
-
There's a cigarette brand called Bronson, and they're the worst shit ever.
-
The name of the road nhs is on is named Bronson.
Heard the bearings will retail for $30.

Will they take care of my dandruff problem?

I call that bullshit... The little holes in the inner race of the bearing will make friction and with time it will fuck up the small balls, and with the preasure of skateboarding the small balls will start to dig the hole even more making it unstable... I think for a bearing hold up just cant have a non smooth inner race.
-
I got my hands on a prototype set that I've been skating the last month, they feel like bearings.
-
i need more balls out technology in my life
-
that air tight wrap is bullshit. if my bearings get better after 2 years, they can survive a little air while theyre on the shelf.
-
Next up the new revolutionary Bronson wheel!
-
If they're $30, you could buy two sets of Reds for the price of one of these. Do they last that much longer or roll that much faster to justify the price?
-
NHS = ricta slix, P2s, snake...er, ceramic oils ;)
-
i demand dany way megaramp technology
-
should be bensen

All the comments above is why I stay on SLAP. Fuckin jokes... A bunch of smartness you all are. HAHAHA... But, I agree.
I saw the video and think its a bunch of gimmicky bullshit. Like the lube holes or whatever the fuck they're calling them. Come on, really?? It's like when soap or deodorant companies come out with "hydrating microbeads". Like, really?? Beads that are gonna keep my skin from drying up during the day?? Lube pockets in my bearings that are gonna keep my bearing lubed and help them get faster and faster??
GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!
I got some hand-me-down Super Reds like 4 years ago and they're awesome. No, I don't pop the shields off, unless they're already coming off by themselves.
NHS didn't reinvent shit.
The name sucks. They don't have any pro or am backing their shit. Would never buy. The logo is even terrible.
Only good thing they got is a way to save your bearing by making a designated side to press down on when putting them in your wheels. Now that's an idea!!!
-
I like that their logo looks like an auto-parts sign.
-
Could of came up with a better name than Bronson. They didn't even need this, NHS with their Independent Bearings were already good. Just going to work the same like other bearings out there.

k&n filters.

So, has anyone tried them yet?

So, has anyone tried them yet?
Got A set beginning of June, still just as fast and have no plans of trying another bearing any time soon.

Nice can you keep us updated on their progress?

What happened to "Abec 3, 7, 9..." and whatnot? I fell for that shit hard when I was a kid. I have a set of Swiss Super 6s that have lasted me 6+ years, granted two of them are Reds now.

They still make them along with ceramic bearings.

It's the Jensen Tire & Auto logo

How are these holding up?
-
I'd love to know as well. A friend went from Swiss (or maybe Super Swiss, I don't remember) to these & was plenty happy with them, but I'd love to hear more feedback from folks who've actually personally ridden both. I'm personally biased towards the Swiss bearings vs. Chinese, but I also don't want to write them off simply b/c they NHS or b/c they're Chinese. . .
-
Guessing Bronson bearings are better than indy bearings. They look good.
First set if Indy bearings I had (the abec5's) all the shields fell off within a week. The nylon bearing cage on several of them also cracked over time. Set up a new set over the summer and those ones seem okay so far.

it doesn't apply to skateboarding because the ABEC system was designed and dedicated to measure things that are spinning at a faster RPM than skateboard wheels.

They did slow down a little, put a drop of speed cream in and still fast as they were.
No breaks but I had a shield or two pop off.
-
Been wanting to try something nicer than Reds, was hoping to get more info on the Bronson's, but there just doesn't seem to be a lot of real info/first-hand experience yet. Snagged a set of regular Swiss today instead & so far love them. Buttery smooth, can't wait to break them in!!!
-
These are fantastic bearings. I've had mine for a few months and they feel just as good as Swiss, but $15 cheaper. You can't go wrong.

Yeah but Charles Bronson and Action Bronson ain't from Switzerland where LSD is legal.
-
I might give these a try after my Indy Blacks run out. The Indy's are by far the best bearings I've ever had though, and I don't plan on switching anytime soon.
-
dont fuck around with me here, do they at all compare with the bones 6?
-
what news about these bronsons ? how are they now ?
-
What major bearing manufacturer makes these? From my understanding, bearings are like decks in that a few major manufacturers actually make them and various brands put their branding on them and sell them.
-
Funny but I always rode Mini-Logo 10 fucken $ bearings set and I never had one bearing to break on me.
Except I got my board stolen 2 weeks ago and went to ultimate dist and got Swiss for the first time
Im just upgrading to these now, after 10 years of reds, than mini-logo
So I guess that new Bronson shit is gonna have to wait at least 3 years for me lol.
-
3 of my Bronson's locked up and broke after about a month of having them. Idk if maybe I got a couple duds in my set. ???
-
had a set since june and they are still going strong. very happy with them.
-
New Bronson G2s. Looks like they are priced to compete with Reds.

Buy Modus Bearings... so much better
-
I've been really impressed with Indy Blacks. Are the Bronson's worth the extra $5 or so?
Of course, if you've got the money, its hard to beat Bones 6....

Fuck Bronsons. I got a set of bronsons like 2 weeks after a set of indy blacks and the bronsons started going before the blacks.

Reds 4 Lyfe
-
The best and longest lasting cheap bearings you can buy are Reds, period. If you want to spend any extra money, buy the Super Swiss 6 Ball bearings. Worth the money and will last a very long time. I can feel the difference in the smoothness of my ride, my speed is doubled, and they're nearly silent from beginning to end.
Bronson is another gimmick, fact.
