Flexing not only my skate-nerding, but also my nerd-nerding... I remember a poster on alt.skate-board mentioned this trick. Also that day, supposedly, Penny did a 180 nosegrind the hard way--coming at it frontside, frontside 180 switch bs 5-0. And, so the rumor went from this post, nearly got that trick with the flip in it too. I think the poster claimed to have been some guy that rode for deathbox back in the day. I always took it with a grain of salt, but -- having now had someone a bit more 'in the know' reclaim it...
Any confirmation from the above post, pbn?

i saw him do it the easier (still hard) way (switch frontside 5-0) in a matter of a a few trys, it was definetly a baker maker (hands grabing the ground) but he still rode away. as far as doing it the hard way? i never saw him trying that, he did try to nollie flip back 50 it along with a couple other crazy trick attempts. i think bryce was shooting photos. we left the sesh before they did, so maybe he tried it the other way but i really dont know.

yea, steve olson in tentacles of destruction, 180 nosegrind shov it out the hard way, DAMN! along with all the other shit, but the 180 nosegrind regular switch shov it (not f/s shov it) out was bananas.

the bonus footage in the new girl boxset (finally) has the footage of dill's switch f/s crook. i saw this in passing at the shop, and as i remember he actually landed it really cleanly, with the questionable aspect being that he didn't fully lock it in/bring it up. it was kind of a half switch f/s willy, but marginally passable.

I think in On Video they said Wade Speyer was the first to do anything and it was a crook or back nosegrind or something, early 90's I think? Did a local actually hit it up first?
