Don't know if ya'll have seen this yet, it's Ty's new production company, they did a little doc thing on Malto getting his ankle better, it's pretty cool but i'm sure most people on here will hate it. It has some Apple level collaboration but from all the product placement in the video it looks like it's probably Nike's new video thing that theyre kinda disguising under a Ty Evans thing. Anyone else check this out or notice that?

This is the saddest most pathetic mainstream look into a side of skateboarding that is so completely un-related to what skateboarding is all about. This is vomit worthy.
Ty Evans is like that one booger crammed up a nostril that you're trying to pick for a good min while you're driving and the fuckin booger just won't come out. It's very frustrating.

Made really well for an iPhone
If you watch the behind the scenes you'll see tens of thousands of dollars worth of gear making the iPhone a bit more than just an iPhone. Beyond the gimbals and stabilisers, he's using canon glass attached to it.
I mean it's still impressive, but it's not really shot 'on an iPhone', more like 'with a bunch of gear that turns the iPhone into an HD camera'.

God I hate this made on iPhone bullshit where they strap canon L lenses on the front and the rest of the rigs etc. What is the point? You used an inappropriate tool and could still make something look good, congratulations, that Canon glass, Sony sensor, Samsung memory really came through. The first time it was done, OK nice experiment, but by the 100th, why?
You could have got DSLR bodies that cost less, actually use the image stabilisation and the other things which require feedback between the lens and body. It's no wonder pretty much all the things I have seen like these are cheesy, the whole idea is pretentious as fuck.

WOW, dudes legit put a fucking iphone on 5grand Movi stabilizer and attached it 2grand canon glass. Thats so fucking stupid, they definitley got a ton of Apple money and i'm guessing filmic pro money to uses these things in the video, cuz those are insane pro cinema rigs just attached to a phone rather than a DSLR. That was lame, i really thought they ust had the little chill $200 gimbles for the phone and maybe some fancy type clip lenses.

I destroyed my ankle (tore outer tendons) that never properly healed and pretty much fucked my skating forever and now I really wish I made a documentary about it. This seems like some shit for investors. I would rather stare at that one insta pic of Malto's bloody P Rod 7 after the incident for an hour than watch this kookery.
I guess I'm also pissed about seeing Malto on some cardboard display at Sam's Club. I think it was for Skullcandy or mountain dew or someshit.

Aside from the last shot on the big pile of rocks, I didn't think it was that cheesy. It didn't seem like it was overly forced. My main gripe was the disappointing lack of hardflips.
