Hey forgive me if there's already a thread for this, I looked and couldn't find one. I wanted to post the EA Skate section I just made but didn't want to make a new topic just for that, so maybe this can be a thread like "Post Yourself Skating".
Sorry for the bad quality, just filmed off my TV. Some moves I'm stoked on in here though.

Welp, I can safely say that's the best EA Skate part I've seen. Never gone to the footage to save more than like 3 tricks before, but this has inspired me to dust this game off and possibly try to make a lil' part! Kudos to ya.

This is pretty sick. I've been making clips for one of these since back in the first game but I never finished anything. Is the site where you uploaded your clips still up somewhere?
Also EA needs to fucking finish making Skate 3 backwards compatible for Xbox one.

Ahaha looks exactly like one of those edits! The ollie into the dish frontside flip out was rad, gonna have to skate that!
I really need to start using the advanced camera. I just feel like I'm too lazy haha. I do most of my playing in the winter while on the exercise bike to stay in shape, so I just jump off the bike, film the screen, then jump back on. I feel like any more effort to set the camera or upload the tricks I just wouldn't bother and would never make one.

Yes! Used to love doing this. I've prob got enough clips saved for another one but I'll likely never get around to editing them. This video took forever (I think I 'went back' to the last spot for 5 days running). My thing was finding awkward gaps that were difficult to get the speed / angle for and stuff that required quick fingers.

^ Cheers! Found a Skate 2 edit I made way back when. The quality is abysmal (not much I can do about that now) but I think some of the tricks hold up. Dunno what I was thinking with the music :-\

Stoked to see you're still around! Community died off hard but there's still some people playing. Graphics and the skate.reel going offline drove a bunch of people away.

I just film them off my TV with my iPhone haha. Just line it up to keep everything else out of frame. That's why it looks so shitty and the sound isn't very good. I'd like to have the clips in better quality and could probably figure out a way by exporting through the analog video cables, but to do all that to capture a video game clip would be a lot of work and I know I wouldn't bother. So I just do it the ghetto way.

Choad, your stuff was rad! Where is that spot at around 8:40 with the cellar door looking banks? Is it downloadable content or create a park? Most of your stuff seems to be in Skate 3 but I've never seen that spot before.

I made a few but probably won't be making any more. I'd appreciate it if you guys would check them out since I put a ton of effort into making them. My montages are realistic but have some creative tricks as well due to myself being inspired by pros like Richie Jackson and Louie Barletta.

Thanks bro! I use an Elgato to record my gameplay, but honestly I've seen some people just use their phones and the footage still coming out decent.

Ahaha thanks guys. Actually had so much fun playing this time around that I wasn't even dying for a #4. Just finding different stuff the game felt new again.
Don't get me wrong though Skate 4 would get me hard af.

I also wish there was a ton more challenge to these games, I want something as simple as a backside nosegrind back 180 on a picnic table to be a real battle. I don't have the patience to make a "video part" for one of these games, that would probably bring some of the excitement back but ehhh I can't really be arsed to do it.

Skate 3 has a "hardcore" setting which I don't remember the earlier Skate games having. It makes things more challenging, especially locking into grinds so you do have to work harder for your tricks. I went years playing the game never thinking i'd be one of those people who would waste their time on making video parts from Skate 3 but eventually I gave it a try and found it enjoyable, although my recent video might be my last already. Surprisingly there's still a pretty big community for people who like making parts and while some lack style and creativity there are some players who are fun to watch because their style translates over to the game well and it shows in their videos.

I think Skate 2 had the best world. It looked so amazing. Sometimes I go back and play it but the game flow is just not the same. Makes it hard for me to play it for any extended period of time.

Figured for the Skate 3 10th year anniversary today I'd archive a bunch of old bad edits I used to create with the game circa 2012-2018, it turned out to be way heftier than I imagined but I'm glad to have it all saved. Firstly have you tried session? Asides from it lacking a good board feel in general riding, it nails this feeling. I love riding up to a ledge, doing a small back 180 to go switch then having to use the controls in switch to do a simple trick. It feels so good.
As for skate, A “reboot” of skate 1 with the same vibe but updated controls, graphics and being able to get off your board would be so sick. The oversaturated look of 2 and 3 killed it for me.
