what the fuck was with this edit?
1) bail shots to start out to show that she can take a slam?
2) most of the fish eye shots look like they undercut her skating. looked like lack of effort for the filmer, and too low of an angle on most of the shots, kind of detracted from what she was skating. i honestly think her style and skating shows better long lens, most of the fish eye shots seemed to just be her butt sticking into the lens.
3) horrible prep talk from felipe: as if someone who goes horribly slow to begin with telling her "go faster" good lord.

You are right that that trick was a lame filler, but I think it's unfair to judge a whole part by the weakest trick in it. Overall, she ripped, fs feeble and bs smith plus the 360 flip were impressive.

She is good, but there is so much attention to her looks that nobody respects her for being a skateboarder who is willing to put her body on the line to do gnarly tricks that genuinely are groundbreaking in the world of women's skating. I get that she benefits in other ways from the whole modeling thing, but I'm talking about in the pure skate world. Its super lame how if a girl grooms herself in a traditional girly way like Leticia, she is slut shamed and people disrespect how she skates, but if she dresses like "one of the guys" like Lacey Baker or something, people disrespect her as too manly. Its particularly weird in the skate community, where guys are allowed to dress or present themselves in all sorts of insane and kooky ways without nearly as much criticism as Leticia gets for dressing in a feminine manner or Lacey gets for wearing the same fucking stuff that the guys who are fully accepted get.

B. You like watching a guy's skating because you think he has good style
How far off are these two things? I don't think any skater (girl or guy) needs to be groundbreaking if there's another reason you want to watch them skate.

It's the Ronda Rousey effect.. she's good, super good for the small pool of professional women skateboarders, she's quite good looking and gets a ton of attention. She's also getting the attention of lots of younger female skateboarders who are now getting into skating and soon there will be a bigger pool of international women skateboarders that are going to make Leticia look like a joke. I believe less than 5 years from now we'll be seeing some serious shit coming out from some ladies and it's going to be gnarly and on near dude level.

I agree. I've been hyped on women's skating lately. Dude street skating these days is like vert was in the 90's. Its so specific and technical, that its hard to relate to. Women are ripping harder than I can for sure, but in a way where I think "maybe I could do something like that if I really get on my shit." Like, Leticia kickflip back lipped that rail, it makes me think, I should try to do that trick on something new (I've only done it once, but know I could do it again). I'm not thinking of doing a switch bigspin backtail switch flip out on anything.

As a brazilian living abroad myself, I do get your point but they were proably being polite to the filmer (chase screwdriver? #neverforget) and talking in a common language to the three of them. I've learned myself how rude it is to talk in a language where one of the parties does not speak and/or be the one the non understanding part.
