Good choose on the ram and ssd. I have been using this website to build my PC. www.pcpartpicker.com (http://www.pcpartpicker.com) its very helpful it tells if you if anything isn't compatible, how much watts you are drawing. A lot of useful stuff I would Copy over your parts in there. It also picks the cheapest amount of $ for the parts. My build is constantly changing in price because they always have mail in rebates and discounts going on.

very much second pcpartpicker

i hate reddit but r/buildapc  and r/buildapcsales/

1080 is fucking serious!! you will be rocking.  just dont skimp on power supply.  i does not look like money is any kind of issue but you could step down from the i7 to an a high end i5 and still be future proof.

I built my PC in 2013 but I'm gonna upgrade to pretty much your build when I get my tax return. I currently have an i5 and a 2GB graphics card and I was gonna get an i7 and a 6gb graphics card. I'll also have to get a new mother board, cooling system, and power supply to support the upgrades. I haven't decided on specific parts yet though.

Recently did an i7 6700k and 1070 build. Overkill, but everything was on sale so all of it ran for like 1k.
