Hey SLAP. Recently, I was thinking about how there are some albums I'd really enjoy a lot more, if not for one track that, for one reason or another, ruins the fun. Or makes you just hit the skip button. What are those songs to you?
Here's one example that really gets on my nerves. The hook is awful, the faux-Spanish accent is cringeworthy, and Aquemini is a classic, of course.
Outkast - Mamacita (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v89IaKJERsU#)
-
this one is unbelievably corny. modest mouse usually has a clunker on each album [back in their heyday]
dead prez - Mind Sex (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwTNOxJXMYM#)
-
I feel like every other time I listen to Vol 4 I hate "Changes" but sometimes I let it play so...
-
Meddle is my favorite pink floyd album and can listen to the whole album no problem but always find myself skipping "Seamus".
-
im drawing blanks, but im sure there are plenty of skippers from my favorite albums. so many rap albums i loved growing up had terrible skits or just straight up awful tracks that were always skipped.
this track off one of the albums thee oh sees put out last year is in my opinion one of their worst tracks though. they shouldve called it a day before recording this one because it sounds like they were all out of ideas but still had a little bit of energy.
Thee Oh Sees - Ticklish Warrior (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_HsWX23Flo#)

I love "You and me both" but this song fucking sux.
Good Times (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVkzSdGYcg0#)

There is consistently one song i hate on every Tijuana Panthers album but every other song is great
this one sucks in particular
Tijuana Panthers - Car Crash (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m1edKFn6JA#)

-

True, I always hated it in there

The worst is when the skit is built into the song so you can't just skip it (e.g. Murder was the Case, 7th Chamber).

I'll admit it: I have no clue why people don't like "Changes".
-
Jigga that Nigga from Jay-Z's The Blueprint. I honestly didn't even mind the bars on his verses, but that fuckin hook (http://www.thecoli.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/scusthov.gif)
-
^That album is a classic, but that track sounds like a cheap Swizz Beatz rip-off.

I though it was Swizz Beatz.
EDIT: "Jigga My Nigga" is the Swizz Beatz track.

i really hated my heart is yearning mid-punk in drublic when i was 15 and insecure, thinking people could hear the shit in my headphones and of course everybody was out to judge my sorry ass undercover
-
A Tribe Called Quest - Stressed Out (feat. Faith Evans) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy7JwllhUR8#)
I hate most R&B guest appearances outside of Mary J Blige and Method Man...
Also, this was corny even when I was 17...

holy shit I actually got in a weird fight with my friend over this specific song. I fucking hate it! it totally disrupts the whole album and I skip it every single time

Changes is a great song.

Four Horsemen on London Calling (used to hate Lover's Rock more), Set the House Ablaze on Sound Affects (I like the middle 8 though), 1/4 of Teenager of the Year is terrible but that still leaves 15 great tracks, Emulsified on whatever Yo La Tengo album it appears on, probably way more...

I'd take mamacita over skew it on the barbie though.

Every Yoko song on Double Fantasy.

Wow, I forgot about this thread. Glad to see some fellow Mamacita hate, and the Skew it on the Barbie hate is very valid too. I was fuming when I first read the many posts blasting Changes, but the instrumentals are really weird and baffling, like someone playing on the piano. But I love Ozzy's voice on it.
