I grew up out there and there's a ton of shit to skate, including a lot of new spots and skate parks that have popped up since i
moved out roughly 10 years ago. I can't remember much, but I'll share what i know. The subway is great out there, and it's also pretty cheap to get around on uber due to the conversion rate.

This is a park around the downtown area, across the street from the Hilton. Tons of marble flat ground with one main granite ledge that's been heavily skated but pretty fun. An occasional marble bench that you can hit. I think it's a week day spot, since street vendors tend to set up on that ledge:

They built this plaza not too long ago, haven't been but it looks pretty fun:

Parque De La Madre is one of the popular spots in Downtown DF

I think you will recognize it from videos. Has something to skate for just about anyone, and there's a lot of stuff in the area - just push around and you will find some things.

I'd also recommend checking out their main university, UNAM. Just a really beautiful campus, and there's lots of spots. Again, just push around and you will find some things.

I think I'm going this summer but won't have much time to skate. Any recommendations on good places to visit/bars/coffee shops/places to eat obviously that may be off the beaten path?

A little late on this but in case anyone is planning on visiting. I went for the second time earlier this year and there's something skate-able just about every block. A lot of DIY spots as well. I'm surprised how much the skate scene has grown since last visiting a few years ago. Didn't go to any skateshops but definitely saw plenty of skaters. There's plazas everywhere and not once did I see a security or "policia" harassing any skaters.

I'm headed there today, on a fluke. Will be around for a few days if anyone wants to meet up and skate or check out some music, etc. Send me a message on here if so

I知 in Mexico City for the next few weeks working. Hoping to get a day or 2 off to check out some spots. That plaZa looks fun. I知 staying in iztaplapa anything close by I should check out? I知 a ledge skater mainly so any other plazas or also that monument with the hip looks sick.
