Can any Montreal Pals let us know if there's anything we can do?

still love his switch part from years ago. too many skateboard related deaths this week. what even happened?
-
I haven't heard what happened yet but he was indeed a Canadian legend.
Manual master that's for real
RIP and condolences to family and friends
I hope dime can whip something quick in honour

Very sad. I was a fan since I read an SBC article about him in 2000 when he rode for Hustler skateboards.
One of Canada's best for sure. I was psyched when he started riding for Western Edition because of how well he fit the company. Also saw him in person once at a curb session doing perfect 360 flips.
Don't know the details of what happened either, but it's not my business and I hope his passing wasn't too painful.

Yep, grew up watching this video and Darrell's part was a shredder. The three flip nose manny down that shitty bank served as a nice validation for all the shitty Southern Ontario spots my friends and I used to skate.
His part in the first Studio video also rips. I remember seeing the kick nose manny sequence or maybe still in SBC and tripping, then when I saw the spot in person, tripped even harder. Fuck, then the line with the wallie up, nollie front heel down. Classic shit.

Needless to say, huge bummer. RIP.

I'm not too sure how it happened, but earlier in the week he was hit by a cab driver. He was by himself at the time. I'm not sure if he was skating or anything like that.
-
my favourite skater and a wonderful friend to so many. A hero in life and death. Love and miss you forever.
-
such a shame, he's a canadian legend.
-
I came across the switch video randomly as a kid and put it on my ipod and would watch it before bed a lot. I didn't even remember this guy until I saw his part again, but man was it a good one. That fucking bs shove nosegrind stood out to me the most. That and his nollie flips. RIP.

So shitty, dude was Canadian skateboarding royalty. Rest in peace man.

Huge blow to the skaters across the country. Had session for him at Vic Park (ledgeland) in London yesterday. Will be missed for sure!

best sig ever

Terrible news. Best wishes to his family and friends. Sounds like he had a lot of the latter.
-
From what I have heard and read. He was crossing the street, walking with a cane due to an ankle injury when he was struck by a cab driver.
He later was taken off life support by his family.
So bummed. He was a good man. Used to come to the park I ran when it first opened.
-
Still doesn't seem real. A humble down to earth dude and a true artist.
-
Horrible news, still can't believe it. Major bummer for Canadian skating. Gonna have to go skate Vic Park soon, just wish I had some old Iron Cow jeans to roll up...
RIP, Darrell.
-
Shred in peace!

Missing my old friend a great deal today...sending love to you D

Damn, that's horrible. So sick of these cab/uber/lyft drivers being menaces on the road. Driving like maniacs and not giving a FUCK about pedestrians or traffic laws. Fuck these pieces of garbage. RIP Darrell and condolences to his family and friends.

I had no idea he was Canadian but had a Volcom poster on my wall, of him, when I was a kid.
nope
