So many good vids this year
Palace- palasonic and the Call 917 video right now get the top nod for me with the dc promo just right behind them
Am I wrong? my boy keeps saying the flare but to me, all these vids were better

Palasonic, Oddity, the 917 video, I haven't seen all of Valor but I've only head good things. The Pyramid Country vid was sick. I think we should separate best full length and best promo though.

My two favorites from this year are Sabotage 5 and Palasonic. I can rewatch those 2 pretty often, in the same way as the Polar video, or the Isle video. Not to say I didn't like the 917 video, but the whole aesthetic wasn't as refined as the others mentioned.

Ok Francis, for starters the names Utah, not Unitus. Secondly how am I dumb, I gave my personal favorite videos of the year. Sorry I'm not going to dickride 917 & Palasonic like everyone else

What else is there to say besides 917 and Palasonic? Maybe a premature mention of the Krooked video, or the sixth and final Atlantic Drift edit? It really feels like this was the year the pendulum swung all the way to "video parts and montages" and will stay there for a bit.

I'm hoping this krooked video is as good as their team is. It could easily win.
Atlantic drift should win though, I've rewatched those more than anything else, and not just for the skating. Cinematography should be considered when deciding "best video"

Not many people seem to be mentioning Traffic's Look Left video. Did few people see that? It had a classic feel and was so rich in amazing spots, similar to an old Blueprint video or something.
I also loved the 917 video, Palasonic, Magic Sticky Hand 2, and the Atlantic Drift series is the best thing I've seen in years.
ALTHOUGH, I think this discussion should extend another month because we still have yet to see the new Krooked full length and the Evisen video which I'm sure will both be special.

Young Emericans was tight if we just forget about Zach Allen's part. Kader and Victor Acevas are amazing though. I still don't get how Victor is flow for Baker Boys and Zach Allen is fully on.

So far palasonic was my favorite but I'm hoping the krooked video takes the top spot when it comes out

I remember being drunk at my local shop's premiere of Sabotage 5 about 3/4 of the way through the video and thinking to myself "this is the best video I've seen in a long time." The filming, the soundtrack, the editing, the raw moments like the bus crash towards the end, everything came together so well and it's a fitting eulogy for LOVE Park.
The new Krooked vid was amazing. Brad Cromer, Gottwig, and Manderson's parts ruled. Liked the soundtrack as well.
I also liked the 917 video for full Cyrus and Max Palmer parts (the other guys were cool too!).
The DC Promo was raw as hell and made my jaw drop more times than any other video I've seen this year.
Every vid brings something different to the table, but overall I gotta go with Sabotage 5.
The Palasonic video was cool, but I think i'd appreciate the skateboarding way more if I actually skated some London spots or even visited the city. I still enjoyed it though.

Krooked LSD. The video came out with limited promotion beforehand, and the first two parts are among my favorite of the year, and after that it was still amazing. Thought the music choices were great and so was the editing.

Consistent feel throughout the video and great skating by everyone. Sebo even had some good clips

Krooked video was the only video this year that felt like a skate video. At least the ones most of us grew up on. 917 felt like a long fat bill style edit and I get palaces whole 90s London grunge gimmick but paired with the weird clothing and house music aesthetic they went for it was kinda wack. And lev basically guaranteed wackness with the whole I only film to vhs thing. I bet that would’ve looked great hd or at least vx. Kind of a bummer that the dudes trying to bring some of the stuff we grew up watching back do it the worst ways. Especially so when we got gonz who’s cognitive level is questionable at best some days ( I mean we got threads talking bout him on drugs , and the stand out ea skate interviews where he sounds like a dementia patient explaining skateboarding) had the company with the best video of the year if not the last 5 years if were talking straight full team board company video.
Actually speaking of, aren’t we do for a Skate mental full length.

My vote is for Palasonic. It just had the perfect mix of big, heavy one trick clips and long fast lines with an unconventional soundtrack that works really well. Honorable mention would be Greco's Year 13. The skating was really good, but a lot of the despair-ridden lifestyle shots dragged on too long.

if blondy only filmed clips in the rain wearing a burberry rain jacket & skated to the pogues - rainy day in soho i would have voted palasonic but i thought THE MERCHANDISE was more slammin, palace clips should look like they were shot in a day & edited during a cigarette break, LTJ way more slammin than piano tune, jamal in pink pants with a machine gun more slammin, no corny intro more slammin, gary numan comin in slammin like a slam dunk fuck it i vote the merch for 2017 VOY.
