Title: Pulaski Park / other DC spots
Post by: SonictheHedgehog on January 03, 2018, 05:01:16 PM
Is Pulaski skateable at all during the week? What about Saturdays?

Any other cool spots to check out in DC? Any tips are appreciated!

Bureau should be able to point you in all the right directions. https://www.instagram.com/dcbureau/?hl=en (https://www.instagram.com/dcbureau/?hl=en)

Shaw is worth checking out if you're into parks.
If you have a car, try to make it out to the rockville skatepark.
african american memorial.
I think you can skate pulaski any day. Strength in numbers ideally. Always be on the lookout for security.

If you can find parking in Downtown DC (no small feat in and of itself) the whole area by the national archives is full of spots. The Courthouse steps are a fun warmup, the state trooper memorial has a mini rail/hubba that has been murdered. Welfare banks are sick too but don’t expect much time there. You can honestly just skate in a direction in that area and come across spots that are sick. The Canadian Embassy 21 is right over there as well if you wanna stand at the top and wonder why anyone would huck  themselves down it.

pretty much the park west of pulaski from 14th street following pennsylvania all the way to the capital and then back down independence on the south side of the mall (smithsonian museums surround) with welfare banks and spots like air and space etc, you'll find a ton of shit. anything more "east coast" in terms of neighborhoods is a little more tricky, but time is better spent in the federal area. parking really isn't that crazy in DC so long as you're not in a no rush hour zone. enforcement comes in waves so best to get the scoop from a local or a shop.

Rockville is closed for the winter and they took everything good out.  K-town is the best option in MoCo.
