Most kiwis were pretty cool and very accepting of everything. We had a roommate that was a total knob and he/his mates were complete trash. They were "boy racer" types. (See fast and furious nerds and sprinkle in techno and bad dancing). It was odd to me that they wore skate gear and thought skating was lame. Most of the skaters I met there didn't seem to wear skate gear. And we're super cool. I was in Auckland which was, to me, severely overpopulated. Once out of Auckland everything was great. Skateparks were great. Best beer I've ever had was a kiwi beer - Steinlager.
