When they go to New York.

The older Treehouse of Horrors are all great, Like the one with the house that they move into that's haunted but the house thinks living with the Simpsons is awful, and eventually opts to destroy itself rather than live with the Simpsons.
The one where Homer went into a three dimensional world was so good, and amazing becuase of the 3D at the time back in 1995.

I'm a fan but I haven't watched it in so long. Perhaps a huge binge is in order
I remember watching the first episode as a kid, I was probably around 10ish. It was hilarious but looked like it was animated by kids my age lol.
Not sure what episode or season? But when Homer lands back first on a fire hydrant, that always pops into my head when I hear about the Simpsons.
Also, bleeding gums Murphy was an awesome character

That kid gorgeous bit is fuckin gold haha

The show should've ended at least 10 years ago.

Nah, South Park had some bad seasons but lately it's been killing it
-
I find seasons 1-3 are more about morality and family relationships with a side of comedy whereas like 4-10sh are just way funnier but less of a family drama in general

Seasons 1-10 of South park are my favorite.

Found a website that has all the episodes from seasons 1-27. Homer's Enemy and any episode with Lionel Hutz are some of my favourites.

Not sure what episode or season? But when Homer lands back first on on a fire hydrant.
That's ones a classic. Bart has enough of Homer so he signs up for Big Brothers and gets a cool Big Brother. Homer gets jealous so he also signs up for Big Brothers and get a Little Brother named Pepé, that he accidentally calls Pepsi. Homer and Bart's Big Brother fight, that's why Homer falls back first on a fire hydrant. Bart is stoked that Homer could take a beating so they walk away into the sunset.
At the end, Homer tells Bart that the secret to fighting is that when you get in a fight, when the guy goes to hit you, you scream like a little girl, and then when he turns away in disgust, you kick him in the back!

I got tired of South Park years ago, for me the issue is they rely too heavily on current topics and events to the point that it started to feel like their crutch. The earlier seasons had great writing while the newer ones are basically just making fun of whatever is popular or a relevant topic.

I was Born in 1988 so as far as I can remember The Simpsons was on everyday on Fox 11 between 6-8pm, sometimes 2-3 times a day. Me and my brother grew up on that shit and i feel that anyone that was a kid in the early 90s was a fan. I remember even my teacher would talk about it back then and discussed new episodes in class with us. The first 10 seasons are the ones I constantly go back to, specially between season 4-7. Off the top of my head the top 5 episodes for me are the Shining tree house of horror, the Micheal Jackson one, the tree house of horrors when they go to the 3d universe, the Homer softball one and the Frank Grimes episode.

goin' where?

Not exactly an unpopular opinion, but Troy McClure is my favorite b-side character.

Season 3 is where things really hit their stride, by season 11 it's gotten bad but still has some gems strewn about. 3-9 are legendary!
EDIT: just peeked around some more, even by season 9 there's a good amount of cringe. I guess seasons 3-8 are the real magic...

I'd mostly agree, Season 9 is solid but has a few lesser moments. I'd include season 2 in the Golden run as well. It's got some all time classic episodes too. Seasons 2-8 are absolutely perfect.

Saw a couple of episodes when I was still living in Russia, with Russian voice actors. Either I was not old enough or something got lost in the translation, was not really into it. As I got a better grasp of English and grew older, learned to love the show.
The latests seasons are pure garbage.
-
I remember seeing a newer episode years back where Marge got addicted to a World of Warcraft type game. I hate seeing modern technology like smartphones in the show, it makes me feel so weird.

Scorpio!
He'll sting you with his dreams of power and wealth!
Beware of Scorpio!
His twisted twin obsessions are his plot to rule the world
And his employees' health!
He'll welcome you into his lair
Like the nobleman welcomes his guest!
With free dental care and a stock plan that helps you invest!
But beware of his generous pensions
Plus three weeks paid vacation each year!
And on Fridays the lunchroom serves hot dogs and burgers and beer!
He loves German beer!

Josh Weinstein has been posting old episode outlines and stuff, on his Twitter page:
"Summary of our pitch for "Who Shot Mr. Burns" from the June '94 story conference notes.
Neat to see how this developed (we thought it could be Barney but on the very next page -so within minutes of discussing it- someone suggests Maggie) And Patty & Selma could've been suspects."

"In David Cohen's hilarious outline of the Poochie episode there were originally 3 Poochie cartoons (instead of 2) - the middle one was a desperate attempt to make Poochie even cooler (hence even larger sunglasses)"
