Title: How do you compress/convert your footage before uploading
Post by: Thomcatifys on April 27, 2018, 03:53:52 AM
Yo

So I'm almost done with a clip I've been working on for some time, and I plan to upload it onto Vimeo. They have a 500MB limit for free users, so the size of the clip is a problem.

My footage is filmed with a vx1000, and want to try and keep the best possible quality. First, I tried to convert the original file through the vlc media player, but it caused a lot of interlacing when I uploaded it.

For others filming vx footage, how do you compress the clip before uploading it, keeping the quality as crisp as possible?

Any tips will be highly appreciated! Thanks

skateperception would probably be a better place for an answer, if you can't find on google.
