Can't put a finger onto why, but i can't stand Jesse Alba.

Kyron and Mike Arlond are insanely talented.

Kyron and Sylvain killed it in this one. Sick to see Tom Knox skating again after his surgery.

Mike Arnold with the least impressive pro debut, ever.

That jellyfish balloon at the end was a great touch.

Yeah, I felt like that too. I think maybe because it was a lot of single clips versus lines.

Probably because his fits are genuinely bad and the definition of 'normcore'. Along with his overall goofy demeanor about his skating. Ehh..I don't hate him, in this day and age of everyone having the perfect trendy look, I respect a shitty one.

And that Knox frontside flip at 4:38 with what looks like to be pajama pants? is probably one of the ugliest awkward frontside flips I've ever seen in my life. I guess that's what happens when you skate in shit spots in bland ass murica vs spots with character and old charm.

Or maybe he was doing a f/s flip going sideways on a steep bank? and that's very difficult?

I don't know what it is, but JEH can do no wrong. Las Vegas is not the first place I think of when I want to see interesting skate footage, but he really made it work. He showed the US in a way only an outsider could (like, for instance, filming 16mm in big open parking lots or filming an 18 wheeler with a deli meat ad on it). It displays a slice of Americana from an outsider's perspective and it really works.

He can honestly make any place look visually appealing, he's just that creative and awesome.  Once again, I tip my hat to Jacob Harris as he came through with another gem.  Can't wait for the next one, I believe they're all in Hawaii right now.

halfway in I doubted they were going to make a vegas clip look cool, but they did it again.

reminds of that tim o'connor interview, where he said something like "yeah, we do get to travel all over the world, but we go straight to the worst part of town to skate some obscure bank to wall and get broke off for two weeks"

Why do you say that? I don't think you're wrong, but I'm just curious why one might think that, particularly with regard to British people.

Loved it. I fuck with "Death of a Ladies' Man" by Leonard Cohen so what was already going to be an awesome clip was augmented by the soundtrack. Well done, Jacob Harris.

Jacob Harris and Isle are the best. One of the few keeping it interesting.

The only other thing this needed was Jon Nguyen!
Seriously, how close do they have to get for him to be in one of these? Was he in the SF one?

Impeccable skating, filming, and editing.

That first “The Desert” 16mm clip has an audio sample from There Will Be Blood I believe (but maybe a Kubrick flick...memory is hazy). Haunting shit.

Each of these edits is extremely rich/dense/require multiple viewings to soak everything in.

I want to acknowledge the amazing filming at that first spot. Changing the exposure mid-line at a spot like that would be so difficult, let alone adjusting it as smoothly as he did.
