Lol that easy e track is dope but the best diss track of all time I'mma is ice cube "no Vaseline"
He burnt NWA to the ground with that track, no rebuttals
-
I’m pretty sure there’s an older thread that’s the same. I spent some time trying to find it, before posting, but here are my picks.
https://youtu.be/CgEc6GUavEs
pretty racist and homophobic, but he got his message across:
https://youtu.be/bvRc7pwnt0U
[Edit]
In terms of how many people were dissed:
https://youtu.be/QOvs3rCFI2A
It’s funny how bitter they are towards the people who were getting their shine in that time.

it’s funny to look back on this. mike tyson and wyclef cameos. canibus may have “won” this but ll cool j’s career was way longer and more influential. canibus was an emcee’s emcee without much in the way of hooks. also the line “you might got more cash than me/but you ain’t got the skills to eat a ni**a’s ass like me” sounds weird now.

If kids knew who he was, he would be a meme about eating ass.

Most old heads are the people still listening to real hip hop. Everything posted in here so far is rap(not that that's a bad thing)
-
Hip hop is just a style of rap, they both been existing along side each other since the beginning. Is it a style of flow for you, or subject matter? I'm just tryna get some insight into the old head mindstate.

And if you say immortal isn't a great lyricist you're a fuckin person

I remember hearing this and being pretty blown away cause I had never heard Common go off like this. A lot of people seemed to have issues with Ice Cube at this time:

I'm saying he's corny, and therefore your shitty elitist attitude makes you corny by association. Talking about "levels," tell me then obi wan, what's the difference between "rap" and "hip hop."

Elitist attitude? Look at yourself captain obvious
Tell me, company flow, mobb deep, gangstarr, Eminem are all one in the same.
Open your elitist eyes, or just enjoy the music, your choice.
And immortal is corny, especially these days he's a far left wing fuckwit. But he's still on a different level than whatever "lil fucktard" comes out these days
One rebuttal then fuck this. I don't wanna derail the thread

You didn't answer my question. What's the difference between "Rap" and "Hip Hop?" When eminem was coming up, that was hip hop right? Now he's just "rap?" What's the difference?
-
Beats, production, rhyme styles, turntables, hooks etc
Some walk a fine line(gangstarr) but yeah, they are different and you know it
No motherfucker on earth is gonna call 6ix9nine hip hop

That's me making fart noises and rolling my eyes because you're hella dumb. Talking about hip hop... more like flip flop.

My buddies and I used to get drunk and record shitty country songs on garage band using the stock loops. We called ourselves The D.U.I.s and sang about all the stereotypical country music topics like drinking, Nascar, pickup trucks, disrespecting our wives, deer hunting, ect. There was one loop that sounded like it was made to be a Kid Rock song so we wrote a Kid Rock diss song, except I was the only one who could come up with a full verse so it was just me on the track.
It was a bad song just like all of our others but I had a few slick bars. I don't remember them all, but my favorite one was something like "you can't fuck with me cuz my neck is red. Your career it's like Joe C, short and dead."
If my buddies still have it, I'll try to post it up for y'all.

“The game's fucked up
Niggas beats is bangin’, nigga, ya hooks did it
The lyric pennin' equal to the Trumps winnin'
The bigger question is how the Russians did it
It was written like Nas but it came from Quentin”
“At the mercy of a game where the culture’s missing
When the CEO's blinded by the glow, it's different
Believe in myself and the Coles and Kendricks
Let the sock puppets play in their roles and gimmicks”

Seriously overlooked diss track, possibly because at the time it was released, no one gave a shit about most rappers not on a coast and Common was just starting to get widespread recognition outside of the Midwest. It seemed post "No Vaseline" (which I like many others would also consider the greatest diss track of all time), everyone thought Cube was untouchable. Same with "No Rest For the Wicked" by Cypress Hill, which friends of mine give me shit for liking for some reason. Probably not as good as "King of the Hill", but if nothing else, this beat is dope:

Hell yeah he isn't the greatest but I'd rather hear something opposing NWA then suspect Dre setting up 2Pac and shaking hands with that punkass fucker Suge Knight hope he rots in prison, I'm under that suspension that Dre & Snoop had 2Pac setup or were involved because an outsider fresh out Rikers made it bigger on their own label. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=az3I9-cL0M

BG had a pretty good one like 10 or so years ago called "Pussy Ass Nigga" where he went after Baby and Wayne and I liked that one. Just tried to find it on youtube but all that came up was videos that would probably lead to a meeting with HR.
Ice Cube going after Cypris Hill on King of the Hill was fucking hilarious.
-
The Jeezy/Gucci beef had some good tracks. I like Jeezy's better but Gucci had some good bars. Jeezy's line "You ain't Icy at all. Your Jewelry look like it came out the middle the mall." Always made me laugh.

Cam took diss tracks to a different level. He was truly uncouth. He talked about dead mothers and pissing on Nas' underage daughter. It's crazy how much things change in 10-15 years because none of that shit would fly now.
I'll use this space to note that Lil B has never lost a battle on wax, which is fairly impressive when you consider the fact he beefed with Joe Budden and Joey Badass.

Cannibus has a hall of fame worthy amount of stupid bars like that “you a homosexual/ you look at grapes an see testicles”

I thought this was harsher and more personal than pretty much anything else in this "beef"
