Alright, if this was any other crew I’d say there’s some midness in here, and some questionable filming but all that aside, Limo just can’t miss really. I’m still a fan of this one. Max is still somehow unlocking new ways to view what a spot is (knobbed garden bed rail pop out to parking sign?) without being too circus-like, and Cyrus got the best kickflip of the 2020s probably.

noticed that Cyrus's ollie up/gap to noseblunt clip at 4:28 in this happened during the filming of Max's Pocket Mag "Followed" piece (you can see him warming up there @ 9:36 and other relevant moments at 10:34 and 12:20). fun to see that footage pop up

Glad I’m not the only one haha.

Shoes & Gear / Re: Sale Gear Thread

cross posting here cos i think this could be interesting for all you bargain hunters:

I've made a website which I think some people might find useful. It's called Union Discount, and i was curious to see what people think and if they'd find it useful. the story is:

In 2017, I realized Grey Skate Mag has a list of stockists on it’s website. I was broke and wanted to buy clothes, and the shops which had Grey were generally good, skater-owned stores, so I realized I could look through the sale section of each shop, and get a bunch of good shit for cheap.

In 2023, I realized I could pull all those together into one place, so you can filter and browse through everything at once. Everything on here is on sale from 120+ skate shops which I chose myself by lurking on google maps.

You don’t buy anything on UD, it takes you through to the website of the shop itself, 100% of the money goes to the store, and always will.

I’ve got friends who own stores and I’ve read articles about how hard it can be, and after the 2020 boom in skating, loads of stores are stuck with a ton of stock (in europe at least, the article was in SOLO mag).

Maybe one day I’ll run ads on here so it pays for itself, but first and foremost I want it to be something good for skating.

I’m aware of Parade World, but i don’t want to make another Parade World. This will stay as an aggregator, always going through to the store, a collection of links. I don’t want the hassle of getting into the business side of things with the stores, I don’t want that kind of relationship.

You get cheap stuff, you support a real skate store, and they get more sales/get rid of stock they might be struggling to sell.

I wanna hear what you think, especially if you own a store whether it's on there or not, or know what's up in the industry!!

it's https://uniondiscount.net

Shoes & Gear / Re: Wheels Thread

I've been switching between one set up with 93a spits and my daily driver with x99 on it. I mostly skate a smooth park and haven't really hit any crusty/street spots lately so not exactly in ideal conditions for the spits. After breaking them in a bit I can say the biggest issue I have with the spits is they have the same problem keeping speed that the dragons have. Also, the slide is really inconsistent on smooth surfaces (just gliding instead of really biting down on slides). Besides those drawbacks, I really like the feel and sound of these a lot better than the dragons. They feel a lot more like a normal wheel in regards to pop and response, dragons on the other hand have that bouncy cruiser wheel feel. On the limited time I've used the spits in their intended environment I can say they are fast on bad ground, slide great on rough surfaces and give you just enough rattle to almost feel like normal f4's. I'd say on crusty areas the spit 93 are more equivalent to x97 than the dragons imo. Personally, I prefer the harder x formulas overall (97+99) but the spit 93's are a great wheel just not for what I typically skate. I'm interested in seeing how the reformulated f4 97's turn out, they might just get me off of the x formulas.

can you make filters?

They're at the top my dude! Filter by Brand, Category, or Size. If you filter for shoes, the size filter will change for shoe sizes.
