Long-time SLAP Pal Omar Salazar officially joins the ranks of the pro shoe model elite with a launch party/jam in SF!

Earlier this week was the debut of the Omar shoe from Nike, and he and the swooshers got together to organize a big party and skate jam to celebrate. There was a demo in Sacramento (which you can check out at the bottom of the post here), and then a bbq/skate jam at Potrero park followed by the party at Mezzanine where Earthless and Shrinebuilder played. Also there was a walking tour over at Deluxe where some special release Omar completes were handed out. Here are some photos from the days, big ups to Outer Space!

This is the Omar complete, with custom parts from Spitfire, Indy, Swiss and a joint Nike/Workshop deck.

After DLX it was on to Potrero for the bbq/jam...

P-Stone manned the coals.

BA was first in line!

Omar's dad, Koston and Marmar on the scene.

Dark Swoosh Hun Digs and Omar. Hunter was so exited he could hardly contain himself, just look at that enthusiastic smile!
Soon after, showers blasted down all of a sudden so everybody made for cover. Omar's proud family just before the rain...

Plus O'Dell and Reda.
There was a dinner break and then on to the club. Inside it was a mob scene and not a lot of photos were shot due to the endless chatter amongst friends and associates, but here's a few...

The shoes themselves!

The two tightest ams in the house, Nestor Judkins and Clark Hassler!

The East was in the house, too: Ant Claraval, Dan Wolfe and Frank Gerwer.
The party raged for hours, the bands thundered and doomed, people posed with rubber aliens, and a good time was had by all. Congrats again to Omar, well deserved young man! Woo!
