Pete Eldridge’s underground backing is almost unmatched. When he was absent from the limelight skate scene after going sponsorless for a while, there was a highly-viewed petition on our forum to get him hooked up. Shortly after that, Pete landed a spot at Mystery, and he’s just completed a banging full-length part (his first in awhile) in the recent Mystery promo. We put some photos from his part together with a bunch of questions provided by his many fans on the forum at Slapmagazine.com, and here’s how it all fits together…

From BBK: How do you feel about the fact that there was a petition on this board for getting you hooked up when you were kind of out of the industry?
Grateful! Thanks to everyone involved in that, and whoever started it—good looks.
From Wasko: How did getting hooked up with Mystery come about? Do you feel any pressure to move out West, where Black Box is based?
After that other company I skated for I worked construction—different jobs—and with my uncle, installing fireplaces and shit. I had to get out. I talked to Elissa and she told me to call Jamie, so I did. We talked and he talked with everyone on the team and blah blah blah—now I’m on the team, rollin’ with a tight crew of homies. There’s no pressure to move to SD, but I don't mind going out to kick it for bits at a time.
From Koots: Your part in the Mystery promo was a breath of fresh air. How long did you film for that?
One year, give or take.
From ed: What are you going to buy JT for Christmas?
What do you get the guy that has everything?
From OttoMaddox: What's up with Adidas? Any chance of you getting fully on?
Everything takes time, we’re all waiting to see…
From 1993: What happened with you and Stereo? Phillies or Dutches?
Stereo went out of business. I think ’99 or maybe 2000, I don’t remember when, but I do remember I was driving back up to Philly from Miami and got the call that it was gone. Phillies fitted with a Dutch. Don’t forget you’ve got to unwrap it, don’t just split it.
From Lumpy Oatmeal: Any hard feelings towards the Baker guys?
Nah.

From old dirty bastard child: Can you do me a favor and get Scott Kane hooked up properly?
Scott Kane is sick as fuck, he's doing his thing. I saw him a couple months ago. He’s chilling.
From Ben Throttle: Whatever happened to Brian Michaud?
Big Bizness is chilling, making power moves. I always get up with him when I’m in LA.
From Net Lurk: You still good friends with Mike Maldonado?
Yeah, me and Mike are still tight. Feeble 180 in the part, and Mike has some other clips on Nocturnalskateshop.com
From Crunk Juice: How come the clip of your switch 50-50 on that rail on the cover of SLAP wasn't in the Mystery promo? Did I miss it in something else? Saving it?
I couldn't tell you. I watched it that day, and that was that—lost. We'll probably see a random clip on YouTube some day.
From Biggums McGee: How long would it take to film an entire part in the Tri-State area? How much beer did you buy with the money you won from Maldonado for doing the ill inwards heelflip?
I don't know—I guess it depends on the weather and finding someone in Jersey to film. As far as how much beer I bought? I was drunk and can't remember exactly how much, but I’m pretty sure when I woke up I was broke again.
From Edward Penishands: What do you feel are the best and worst parts of being from Jersey?
There’s nothing bad about being from Jersey!

From Gravel Pitch: Where would you be if skateboarding hadn't worked out?
Probably still sitting in the work truck installing fireplaces, or working some kind of construction job.
From Danker Peaches: What do you think of the SLAP forum?
Sounds cool, but I haven't figured out how to get on it. I just got my first computer. I can do iTunes and YouTube. I had to call my homie Plain a minute ago to find out what the Nocturnal site was.
From Hatechild: Top 5 East Coast skaters?
Keenan Milton, Gino Iannucci, Kerry Getz, Kevin Taylor, Fred Gall, Zered Basett, Tony Montgomery, Quim Cardona, Dan Murphy… I could keep going, but I don’t like to type too much and my trigger fingers are getting tired.
From The Karmessiah: Tallboys or 40s?
Why, you buying?
