i was just wondering if any of you guys know where i can find a recent real advert, it was a picture of the whole team on the right and on the left had someone ollieing a stair set over someone(ernie torres i think)
i think someone had it as there sig one here

real is one of my favorite companys but their ads are starting to get to me.

im not liking how they do a write up of the skater ("james hardy got on REAL when he was a skinny 5'7,alabama skate rat. a few years have passed and now hes pushing 6'2" and casts a monster shadow"...blah blah blah) like there trying to sell him to you. i know how good he is for fucks sake ive seen him skate.

and them telling you how good there wood is. ("true quality and performance strong enough for james hardy. no fake bullshit. guaranteed")

its like a fucking sales pitch. like something rodney mullen would do for almost or tensor.

it would be awesome if any dlx company had an all black add that just said
"our boards are fucking good"

because anyone whos rode a dlx board knows their some of the best..

Oh yeah, and I shit you not, I just happened to have the issue of Thrasher (TH1RT3EN, Summer 2008) with that same back-cover ad facing up next to my keyboard as I type this. I decided to dig it out two or three days ago and it's pretty funny someone made a topic about it today.

How exactly can someone be pushing 6'2? Are they really only 6'1 or are they really 6'2? Never made sense to me.

How exactly can someone be pushing 6'2? Are they really only 6'1 or are they really 6'2? Never made sense to me.

6'1.5"? 6 and 3/4? maybe?

Yeah, but its real. I kind of like the plain, simple, real approach to skating. If you think about it, its not like a sales pitch, it is a sales pitch. Dlx has the other teams for those who want flair and quirkiness. Real is just straight forward. I kind of like buying a board from a company that isn't selling me a lifestyle.

I just saw it and thought it was awesome, until I noticed the typos.... does nobody proof read anymore?

Good on Deluxe for doing something that brings companies and skaters closer though, if only more companies took on feedback like that!
